Beltfed what problems did u experience with your xcr ? I have had none but then again i have one. Not many xcr owners posting problems they have and the fixes. Maybe if u bought one and gave it a chance things would be different.
I don't own an XCR. Never have, and likely won't (I will never say never though).
I have handled and fired one from 100 to 300m.
Accuracy was the sh!ts, and while it didn't breakdown while in my use, that particular rifle has had parts fall off of it.
Despite that, I think they have potential to be a fairly decent sporting rifle.
I think though, the prices they command will keep them out of the mainstream.
You are on a fishing trip asking why people aren't buying them.
The title of this thread you started makes the supposition that people are shying away from purchases due to a baseless worry.
With Robarm's history, documented problems from individuals and a very heavy price tag, it is likely people are not 'scared' as you put it, but informing themselves prior to spending alot of discretionary income on an item that is used for recreation (in alot of cases). Comparing the cost of the XCR to an AR; one could purchase an AR, a couple thousand rounds of ammunition and a few years worth of membership at a range, for the same or similar cost. Most would agree that the XCR is mostly priced out of the competiton.
