286 grains, 2400 FPS... what more reason does a guy need?
Absolutely.
I also think this big bore metric non-magnum is kinda ###y.
I love that a German guy in the early 19th century sat down and thought "Our farmers in Africa need something that fits into a standard Mauser action, will take down anything on the planet with the least possible fuss and not cost the earth."
The 9.3x62 is the most purpose built cartridge ever in those terms.
It personifies the German design approach to most things.
Kinda like Porsche 911s......less horse power than other supercars but they win out on power to weight and still have 4+4 seating.
Ok, so you need to be Douglas Bader to sit in the back but you get the idea.

I prefer the Classic to the Euro. The McMillan that I bought for my .416 is the Classic style stock.

Funny, I found the opposite. I swapped the classic on my .416 for a Bavarian stock and found a day and night difference in recoil reduction. Mind you, the guy I got it from had just swapped the opposite way. I guess we're all different. I'll admit to likeing the look of classic more, that's what I have on my .375.

Dangerous game cartridge

Don't forget the new .375 Ruger......magnum performance in a standard length case....and the Ruger Alaskan is available for around $1150 (C)..

The Ruger does represent an excellent improvement in performance and practicality and purchase price over the H&H.
It also comes in a CRF rifle.
But, if you're comparing it to a 9.3x62 which I may be mistaken in, it has significantly more recoil.

I couldn't agree more....The euro hump is ugly, but it works for me.

Personally I find the CZ classic to look far better, but to fit as well as a 2X4.
