Also, are you gonna get your US citizenship?
I just read my first post and it does sound like I really want to come back . I should make it clear that I am here permanently , and I'm sure the adult beverages I had last night added to my sentimentality seeing all the Canadian flags etc.
I am a business owner and have expanded to the US , and I will be living here for a long time . I should also point out that I love living here in case it seemed like I don't , but I do miss Canada often.
I'm here working legally , and pay for my own health care since it is my business . $784.00 / month for myself , my wife and daughter. This is for the best available medical insurance I could get.
I cannot vote and will remain a Canadian citizen . I will be able to nationalize one day but will not have to give up my Canadian citizenship from what I understand. We'll also be having our second child in January , born here in Utah .
Now , back to guns.
and I will be living here for a long time
Lucky B_ _TARD !!
Wow I cant believe you guys want to leave so bad... We have it pretty dammed good as Canadians.... I love it here in Alberta and my "Mexico" is BC when I want hot sun and beaches.......Onagoth your just upset cuz it takes days for an ATT , just do yourself a favor and move to AB or BC your paradise awaites....
What!?! You think its any better in the states? Its waaaay worse.... Gun laws are better ?!?! so what! that should be pretty damm low on the totem pole compared to free health care, prescriptions, wait times etc. etc. Oh, and its our 1 scumbag politician to their 5 ratio.... how about just the worlds opinion on our nation compared to thiers..... oh, ya how about their economy, compared to ours not nearly as bad...... I dont wanna get into a pissing match about which countries better, thats not my aim... However I just feel like you take certain things for granted, also no offense but based on your posts, not very loyal or patriotic...Well....its a little more than that....political/legal system, gun laws/restrictions, taxes, nanny state philosophy, misrepresentation/corruption in government, the list goes on
And by the way , Obama is officially the gun and ammo salesman of the year . For the last while ammo shelves have literally been EMPTY and the price of all of the evil firearms went through the roof . You wouldn't believe the gunshop stories from around here since he has been in office with all of the fear of another AWB down here.
It appears that the panic time is over , everything is back on the shelves except for ammo . It is still pretty difficult to find - .380 forget it , .45 good luck , 9mm if you have good timing and 7.62 not a chance.
Wolf 7.62 was $4.99 / box pre Obama and has been $10.99 for a while , if you can even find a single box.

Health care would be my only concern with living in the states....I agree with you on that point.
The US economy may be worse off than ours, but this isn't high on my personal totem pole as a slumping economy doesn't really affect me. Be careful not to draw to general of an opinion about the 'USA'... many states are wildly different than many others.....some are very great places to live and don't suffer from the problems you describe to the same extent as other states.
I would also agree with your last statement about patriotism....I love Canada...but its not the country I envision living in.....I do my part to change what I can, but this country does not operate in a fashion which makes me 'proud to be Canadian'
I'm sorry you feel that way... I am proud to be Canadian, and thankful that I am nothing but Canadian... I try to never take for granted how lucky I am to be living in this wonderful, prosperous, free nation....
Good luck Onagoth with all your future endevors....![]()
