Beretta M9

Hum ok Ill risk it again! My question is this: is there is a civilian run and a military run of the Beretta M9, since I found this in my box: an orange piece of paper stating : YOU JUST BOUGHT A REPLICA OF THE BERETTA M9. Im pretty sure everyone who bought a M9 got it too...
OH AND PLEASE!! Do NOT tell me to turn myself in, the gun is NOT a replica it works just fine! :p

can you please scan , or take a picture of this orange paper.. im very curious to see. m9 is an m9.

J'ai un M9 moi aussi ainsi qu'un PX4 Storm. Deux exellent pistolet. Je n'avais pas ce papier orange lorsque j'ai acheté mon M9 l'an passé.

I own a M9 as well and just bought a PX4 Storm. Both exellent pistols. I did'nt have this orange tag when i got my M9 last year.

That's really weird, I've never heard of that before. Military M9s and civvie M9s are the same gun. Either that note was included by mistake or Beretta wants people to believe they don't have an authentic M9, which I don't understand.

Perhaps it's something to do with their image? They may be doing that so they can tell anti-gun nuts that they don't sell military weaponry to civilians, only "replica" models.

that's EXACTLY it-there's a bunch of these "letters" that beretta uses to dissassociate the civilan models from the military /police/whatever agencies for 2 reasons- that letter states that it's NOT a military model and was NOT stolen from from somebody's armoury- and the reseller cannot claim "provinace" from being an actual issued model- they've changed the wording, however- it used to read" AS USED BY"- i've seen a 948 and a 92s with the same "letter- the one forthe 948 read "AS USED BY ISREALI AGENCIES-" the 92s read "as used by the carbineari"- it;s really just a way out from having to change the markings on the pistol- i've only seen it on italian made weapons, however- might be a european thing- just like the uzi reads made by fn, heerstall, belgium

Ton français est mieux que l'anglais de certaines personnes ici. ;)

Même si leur langue maternelle c'est l'anglais! :p

C'est certain! (And .45Barracuda, your English is far better than my French! I wish I could speak French that well. :()

OK I have to ask, but what was the original question? ...

LOL!

If you've got an M9 with the green hogue grips than it's not a true M9. That is a commemorative edition. The M9 used my the US military has a different finish and a built in rail (M9A1).

Beside the markings , what mechanical parts are not true? :p

I have the standard M9.
