Hane6661 Unless English is your second language, cleaning up your spelling and grammar would be a great first step increasing your credibility.

Every military contract in the world wants to buy locally if they can, or at the very least have industrial offsets or subcomponent contracts.

it was made clear to me that the previous person incharge of creating interest and support for the trg did not do his job properly.

the canadian military has this thing that funds being spent for military use needs to be 100% manufactured in canada

MILITARY USE ONLY. so dont get you hopes up youll never have one.
no COMMERCIAL models will be made or brought to canada.
(RE the ARX160)

Didn't the Canadian Military get frowned upon for taking manufacturing of combat knives from a Canadian company to a Chinese firm?

I thought I remembered hearing flak about that? So much for the keeping it in Canada claim...

this thread has go on long enough " pgw is still in business which was the point of the thread"

now to defend my self

" Itwas made clear to me that the previous person incharge of creating interest and support for the trg did not do his job properly. "

not BS gunstore rumors, beretta replaced nickles with a company they feel can better serve the needs of the police and military.

as far as i know thats true as well. though there may be grey areas and details that allow it to be assembled in canada and still meet the standards.

id just like to add that argueing over the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still retarded.

I don't think you can defend yourself until you actually learn to type and spell... Capitalization and punctuation does actually count..

Your hearsay doesn't mean squat.. and apparently what you know is incorrect.. The CF buys a great many things from all over the place..

As for the Special Olympics.. It's a cheap shot and something you evidently think is funny...

You seem to think you know a lot of things; when called on it you make some lame excuses. Doesn't work here.. there are people that know..

I think rsp1761 is just kicking back with his  enjoying the show. Just waiting for the right moment to put his foot down. Either that or he's just too busy to bother.

There have been issues with the rifles on supply side mostly related to the supply spare parts but on the operational side the rifles are holding up quite well and are well received by the troops using the T Wolf . I was led to understand that the T Wolf is currently under going a Mid Life program upgrades .As far as the Weight Issues and the end costs these are concerns the CF has but will be addressed if and when they decide to seek replacements. It is also my understanding that any new firearms purchases will be more intensely scrutinized and that the end user's will have no input into the specifications or selection process they simply choose the best platform from the firearms provided for the trials.

Hane6661,

Time to pull in your horns guy, 'cause you aren't going to win this argument and you aren't going to get out of it without showing your arse.;) A valiant effort, I'm sure, however, CGN is a difficult place to attempt to BS on a topic/issue that you don't have the first clue about.;):p Not only are the guys who own PGW and who built the Timberwolves members of this board, there are others who actually participated in the trials, weapons techs who currently maintain them and guys who helped determine the selection criteria.:wave:

As for sourcing 100% Canadian, that is patently false. DND will deal with whatever company can provide the equipment required at the best price, just as long as there is no embargo in place, etc... A for instance is the decision last year to award a contract to provide copies of the Grohmann fixed blade knife to a Chinese company. Grohmann, the actual designer and long-term contractor lost the contract because they were underbid. No grey area to be found!:)

I would suggest that you think twice before repeating/posting gunstore gossip in a manner that could harm an otherwise innocent company's reputation. Rumors posted on the internet often prove to have a life of their own, long after the originator has learned the error of his ways. Best thing for you to do is concede, say you're sorry and move on. Owning up will go a long way to restoring your reputation and putting you back in the good graces of fellow CGN members.:welcome:

wow i really kicked the hornet nest with this one, the army is a huge rumor machine and i just wanted to confirm or refute what someone supposedly in the know told me.

thanks for the info.

You use a quote like that and you should be banned as well as kicked in the nuts. You made as stupid, baseless comment, then you got called on it. You didn't like it and tried to change your argument, and got called on that. Now you try to get out of the argument with a comment like this?

Go back to your parents' basement.

LOL:D:kickInTheNuts::owned:

PGW donated a Timberwolf as top prize at the BCRA shoot this year. What a kick a$$ prize, not to mention the company stepping up like that. 2 Thumbs up.

This submission is unsubstantiated BS and should be removed.

Rumors have been around since before the internet.
If CGN is not the place to ask a question regarding and get an answer then where is? The local gun store where no one will know but the question will be repeated to others and at some point the question will transform into fact?

The thread was started seeking information, the information was provided and after that the thread went down hill.

If all threads containing unsubstantiated BS were removed there would be alot less to this site.

It was not started as a question.. it as started with a rumor and with a small (really small) amount of work it could have been answered with the OP... and it could have been far less libelous by not using all the hearsay crap...
