New Norinco M14 Shipment Coming In!

After the SIR sks delay in product delivery and subsequent price increase, until someone has something in stock and is ready to ship, prices bandied about are meaningless. Personally I'm more inclined to believe Frontier's higher price more than a rumored lower price as I can see it in print from someone I trust. When an equally reputable dealor commits to advertise at a lower price, then I'll believe it.

That is actually good news if Fabsports has them in and they are not "Marstaring it" on the Fabsports website.

ACU is "Army Combat Uniform" for the USA. It is the greyish marpat that they use in Iraq and the Ghan. The lady I talked to at Tapco a month ago said the ACU pattern was discontinued and I don't see it on the Fabarm sight. I do like Fabarm's multicam stock if they have them in stock.

Oh sweet , I do not think they have the ACU in stock , They have the mossy oak, dark earth and Multi-cam hahah I actually ordered the Multi-cam one !! I heard that they were not going to have anymore t-6's but I guess that was wrong cause they are there!!

So for all you guys that are blasting Frontier for thier price on thses M-305's I was just curious , do you also email the many people on the EE and blast them for thier out to lunch prices as well ?? Just curious , I have dealt with Frontier before and can say nothing bad about them , always friendly , great service and my stuff was always shipped right away!
My mom always said if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all :p
If you don't like it don't buy it !

I am not blaming Frontier for a price increase, at least, I hope I didn't do that. My reaction was a gut reaction, generally speaking, on M14s going up in price when all indicators point down, namely, the US dollar (down 20%) ($1.0790 today). If Canadian's are buying firearms internationally, NOW it the time to save. The CAD dollar is very strong.

Only 5 rifles will be available ! I don't like the camo but the black stock should be great. The mag look like a 10 rounder. Sure will sell it fast.

The multicam is nice and the dark earth looks good too. Personally, the mossy oak looks way too Fud for a surplus battle rifle.

Cheers to Fabarm for getting Tapco SKS stocks in and at a great price. $120 for the multicam is VERY reasonable. If you need a stock for your SKS, get it from them and keep it rolling.

Fabarm is proof that all the CGNers who say "the state department prohibits the export of collapseable battle rifle stocks" are full of B.S.

We're from Canada so were socialists. Go back to school.

Maybe you're a socialist, I'm not, nor are small business owners in this country. So you think business should make no profit or not charge what the market will bear? What liberal school did you go to, Ryerson?

Until you get your dream of gov't mandated profit margins, small business is still a capitalist venture in Canada.

Its just that friggin simple!!!

If you don't like the price...fine...don't buy one.

There are plenty of people willing to buy at that price for

1. A rifle they can actually get soon
2. The pleasure of dealing with the very nice folks at Frontier
3. Not having the hassle of calling around to find one
etc. etc.

Couldn't agree with you more. End of story!

Then when you become a big business like General Motors, Chrysler, Air Canada or Bombardier, and you can no longer compete in the "capitalist" world marketplace, the Socialist citizens of Canada can bail you out with their tax dollars.

I love my country, but saying it isn't socialist here is just ignoring what the government does with our tax dollars.

But's let's stay on topic.... the high cost of Norinco M-14s.

I was talking about small business, not the gov't or GM. That's the issue at hand, what a small business is charging for a product. As a capitalist, Marlin (or any other business) has the right and the ability to charge whatever the market will bear. The market will cause the retail price to adjust if it's "too high".

At $600 or even $700 the Norinco is not "high priced" considering what it is. It was grossly underpriced and an amazing value at $400 and that is skewing the discussion. Want "high cost", look at the Springfield M1A.

I think Maninblack was just trying to be funny. And I agree Ryerson should be burned down since that witch Wendy works there.

I have never deal with frontier before but I won't mind if they have what I want.

No offense to anyone but in retail sales or pretty much any sales the retailer can list their product at any price level unless it was regular by the manufacturer or distributor.

Now,whether the product will sell or not its entirely up to the buyer, is there a market or demand at that particular price level or if the retailer is confident he or she will sell it for that price?

Or the retailer can choose not to sell certain product unless they can obtain the price they want so really there is no right or wrong to ask for certain prices for certain products.

Of course I am sure like anyone else here wants the best bang for the buck but if no other option is available and I want a M14 badly who knows how much I will pay to get one!

Note to self:

When pricing products ignore the fixed price and variable costs of your business.
Determine pricing strictly on internet chatter based on wild speculation on what the "price" should be based on individuals 'wants' and/or 'desires'.
Discussion group participants do not actually need to know what they are talking about.
Opinion appears to be all that is needed.

:)

I've bought quite a few things from Frontier, and never had a concern or felt like I was being gouged.

I`ve done 7 rifles from Frontier ,good deals ,friendly as hell and super fast (less than 5 business days on all my deals) and free shipping on most of the items I have purchased !!
Maybe it would be better if Marlin and other dealers would just give the SH&^ away for free or just sell guns as a hobby. You can always tell the "Wallmart-Dollorama" crowd.Must be nice at garage sales ,dickering over a .25 cent pair of old womens ice skates !

I have done some shopping at frontier, Marlin is a great guy, prices are fair and what they list is in stock(unlike marstar) As canadian firearm owners we are lucky to have people like frontier,
thanks marlin, keep up the good work

I agree , good price a little fugly , but thats why god make Krylon hahaha
I can't wait to get it , I also got a tapco 5/20 mag , should look super !!
It is really nice to see someone up here that gets the tapco stuff !
Makes me wonder why one guy can bring all that stuff in but no other gun store seems willing or able to bring in these stocks !

Supply and command Sir. If a dealer says "last shipment ever!" or "US state department blocking export" then they can whip the sheeple in to a buying frenzie and sell at any price they want. Again, I say cheers to Fabarm for getting the Tapco stuff and keeping the price reasonable. The are a welcome addition to the top of my LCD screen. Now if they could just get that link to the hot chicks with guns on their page going I'd be all set. :D

If a dealer wants to, they can bring in just about anything you can imagine. Canada Ammo brought in about a thousand $99 handguns fer crissakes. God bless him. I bought one. And Lever will sell you a Russian SKS WITH a crate of ammo for $350 when some dealers want $220 for the ammo alone. Effectively at Lever.... deduct the ammo price and there is the $130 SKS we dream of. If Canada Ammo or Lever ever got in to the Chinese M14 business, THAT would be interesting.

It seems a lot of you guys won't mind buying $700-$800 M14s. Let the market decide the price. The market is full of suckers. $450,000 for an average house? I should pay that because market conditions dictate? The market is NEVER right. Prices will revert to mean only after wild speculation, aggressive interest rate hikes and gigantic losses by tom and joe sucker desperately trying to sell, sell, sell. Perhaps we are on the verge of a speculative bubble for the M14? In that light, I'd join Frontier at $639.95: money to be made there. I placed an email to Norinco for 100 rifles. No response. Perhaps I'll up that to 200 and see what happens. If you're a dealer, you're a fool not to get more stock where you can. Buy all of Bell's gear, money in the bank. Maybe the only way to get Norinco to reply is to put in an order much, much larger than Bell. So far, no reply. I'll be buying M14s for $150-$250 guys. Believe it.
