No, it would look totally awesome. You would need an import license to get one from the US, locally, I dunno.would look kinda silly with the barrel sticking out though would it not?
Right now there are basically no commercially made barrels available, so you would have to get a gunsmith to make one from $cratch.
I was interested in getting one recently as well, but slightly confused as to what the process would be.
I was guessing it would be something like...
- Find a place in the States that would sell you one
- Find a gunsmith in the States that would rebarrel
- Paperwork yourself or third party
- Import it over
Is that about right? Besides, you know, how it would cost five times more than the actual price you paid for the Makarov.

Bringing this back from the dead, are any retailers interested in bringing in restricted Makarov's or in process of making clones with longer barrels?
Ok, if there is a reasonable demand I will import new production Makarov pistols in it's 9x18 caliber with legal to be restricted barrel length. Retail target price $650. Interested?

That seems pretty high given the fit and finish of the average Makarov. More around $500 I'd be in
id be interested, but ya a little high, id rather see it around 500$
