Info on 2009 IPSC Nationals

When we can see the official results from the match?
I had to leave after my last stage on Saturday and am very anxious to see the final standing.

Thanks

When we can see the official results from the match?

They should be posted within a few days (sorry I can't be any more specific). They will likely be posted on the Canadian IPSC website rather than the 2009 Nationals website but that is only because I think we can make that happen a bit quicker.

I came 41 out of 61 in Standard. I just came from the awards banquet. Not a glowing result but not zero, DQ or perfectly last.

Cheers all, great match. As an RO i know it has been a long time since I've worked that hard for four days straight and I know there are others that worked harder and longer to make the match happen. Thanks for coming to this end of the Country.

thanks marcel for your great help on that stage, i hate paper work... and my legs are gone, back to BC in the am . hope to see you at our nationals next year
regards dave

thanks to Sean & Jim and the rest of the guys and gals for a great match
cheers

Just returned from the banquet, good time. I just want to sincerely thank everyone involved in running, building, organizing or doing countless other forgotten things that made the match happen.

We must remember to thank family members who we left at home so we could do the things that took us away from them. We gained an opportunity to shoot at the Nationals but they lost a family member for a few days.

Thanks to the families of the officials, helpers and shooters.

I had a great time and with three kids I don't see myself getting to the Nationals again for some time.

Thanks to everyone.

I believe production 1st JP, 2nd Clint,3rd Mike K, .

Standard 1st Mike B, 2nd Pascal, 3rd Mike D.

Open 1st Alex,..2nd Don,3rd Brad.

Revolver Hugh, 2nd BC shooter? I forget the rest.

Production 1st to 2nd was a 12% lead.....and the rest of us in the top 10 all huddled together around the 79- 84% mark...I managed 9th-3rd A division.

Ontario Teams won every top team award

Mike K won Standard 3 gun title,...while Alex won OPen 3gun.

Don was 2nd in Open Brad was 3rd I believe.
Congrats to Mike and J.P. for their wins. It's nice to see good guys like those two win. J.P. is the epitome of hard work and training to win. the level of impovement he's shown in the last 6 months is outstanding and hard to comprehend. if he continues along at this rate he'll be going for a World win in 2011.

I think it's time to let it go...

The process was followed...no DQ...end of story

It should not be "end of story". Just as I assume that IPSC Canada will be looking into the first incident more thoroughly to see if further action is warranted, this incident should also be fully investigated and discussed by the NEC.

How ironic...

We should continue the witch hunt because of allegations that someone did something that you all continue to do now...spread rumours and gossip. If that wasn't so bloody sad it would be hilarious...

If I didn't know better...I'd almost think some inappropriate conversations (including inside information) have already taken place outside the NEC (but that would never happen would it)

Which stage did you RO, one with boat?
I was also shooting Standard, and had to leave right away.
I hope they will publish the results today for sake of those who
couldn't stay for final results.

Greetings,

and thanks, RO-ing for superb.

Peter

I was on Range 1 with the Cannon Ball Accident and the Long Run. I conservatively figure we ran/walked 6 Km a day over our 12 hour shifts on the Long Run Stage only (50m range, down and back, average of 8 shooters per squad, 8 squads a day). I would have been the one running behind all of you recording scores. At least it was flat open ground and the stages were easy to score and reset.

I think I have seen and have now memorized every possible combination of 4 numbers that total up to 32 :).

I had a ball. Learned a lot about ROing, ways to shoot a stage, things to avoid. The shooters were great. So far, this is the best vacation I've had in a very long time.

Hi Marcel.
If that was the best vacation that you have ever had you really need a life!
Seriously though, thank you and all the officials for a job well done.

Quigley, you misunderstand. The whole point of the NEC further discussing the matter is to dispel the rumours/gossip. I make no accusations, as I was not privy to any details. However, I know that some very serious , and very unfortunate events occurred at Nationals this year, and should be fully investigated and discussed by the NEC. If a thorough and detailed review by the NEC has already occurred, then kudos to you for your quick response, but I doubt that the NEC has had the time or energy to discuss the issue at any great length.
I believe that IPSC Canada has a responsibility to seek out the truth behind what actually happened and what was said to precipitate the events at this Nationals. To simply turn a blind eye to the matter simply because the match is over would be irresponsible, and does nothing to prevent a similar situation from recurring.

I know plenty of people took pictures of the results,..someone should be able to quickly upload and post them.

It is a sad thing to wait for the results, in my opinion they should be posted right after awards nite.
Match was a superbly done event, all worked well, but come on
guys I need to know how I finish.
:)

hey guys after spending 19 days at the range give the organizers a chance to regroup and catch their breath. right about now their priorities are to get reacquainted with their families and catch up on some sleep! just ask me!

i am willing to bet then when Cliff M. gets home he will get them up on the net in a day or three. guess what it ain't going to change your ranking one little bit.

I hear you Walter, however you have to understand me too. I shot the match and my family is asking me, how did you place, and all I can say, the results are not posted yet.
I have been to Europe last year and results are posted right away after the match on the official Internet website, I think this is not to much to ask. ;)

Thanks!

It probably helped that we were playing hooky from work as well, come to think of it Marcel you weren't at work today either

+1 on the kudos to all the Officials and Volunteers that made the match what it was....A GREAT EVENT!

GG

Having worked the Alberta Nationals I appreciate the time and work by the officials this year. Having said that it is sure nice not to have to work!!

Thanks everyone - great match and it's so good to run into familiar people at least once per year!
