Bulk Ammo

Well If it's a local store, go chat with them get them to add a case to their order. Most places I talk to will order anything in for a customer. May require a deposit, or paying up front if you trust them. Aside from that, call up a place you go to when you are in a big city, and have them hold how much ammo you want when they get it in. Again probably a deposit, or a prepay thing. But since you live so far away from civilization don't see many other ways to do it, just make your trips to the city worth it :)

Canadian Tire won't special order ammunition in and Chilcton Guns told me they wouldn't order me a case of .22LR ammo in, I'd just have to buy what they have and wait for the next order.

So I just talked to my friend.

According to him, UPS and CP have an agreement in place which allows for the shipment of dangerous goods. So in your situation you should have no problems. That is not to say someone may decide to be a ####, but it would be against the agreement between CP & UPS.

My friend also says he sees ammo from time to time but if it is in the accordance with the agreement set up with other carriers or Pacel delivery corporations, this situation is not all that uncommon.

So order away and have fun shooting!

Cheers!

Fine enough for me, worse comes to worse I just have to drive up to PG to get it!

Why do people keep thinking that I live in a town? :D

CT is a 3 hour round trip and that's the store I was talking about that ONLY brings in two bricks of ammo at a time and then I have to wait a month for them to restock it.

Walmart is a 5-6 hour return trip and and in the past 5 months I have yet to see them stock rimfire ammo, always out of stock.

Talk to the manager of the store and get him to order a 5000 round case of your choice of ammo. He should be able to quote a price and get it shipped when he brings in his stock ammo. He may want cash up front.

A store manager won't order goods on a sure sale or cash up front sale?
Talk to the manager at Canadian Tire - not the person at the service counter.
I'm surprised that a gun store won't do a cash up front sale either.

I used to work at that Canadian Tire and know the manager personally and he still won't do it. As for CG the guy I talked to said that they just don't (maybe Im not a good enough customer yet :D)

Wow!
The local hardware store would call me when they were doing their annual ammo order as I would prepay for 5000 or 10,000 .22 rimfire. This was a guaranteed sale and I promised I wouldn't be reselling it. He was glad to have my business.

The same with shotshells when we were shooting trap.

targetshootingproducts. They have a web page and you can order 5000 rounds at a time. Some are premium rounds at a premium price but I have seen 5000 Federals for $380. Hope this helps.
