Does anybody know where the mystical land of bore brushes is?

Good plan but I keep all my cleaning stuff in the cabinet in my utility room where my tools go. I've got several .17, 22, .338 and .45. Every single .30 cal has wandered off, and I buy these things several at a time. Which is why I know they are heading off to mystical brush land. I think it's the same place where the odd sock out goes.
 
Our cat sleeps in the basement and she sometimes gets on my loading bench. She sometimes takes something that strikes her fancy. She has even dragged something up the stairs, or at least part way up.
Now, if something goes astray, it isn't me that misplaced it. "Your damn cat was on my loading bench again!"
 
I keep all my bore brushes (mostly nylon) in a Barnes X bullet box. Since I use WIPEOUT mostly these days, I rarely use them.

Awhile ago I bought a set of Tipton brass jags. They come with a little box with appropriate holes for them, and I dont' lose them anymore. I only use about 8 of 12 the jags, but it was worth it just to have somewhere to keep them all together.:)
 
They are off messing with all my 9/16" wenches some where.
For the last 2-30 years I have been going to make a rack
for the brushes, but no wall space left anywhere to put it.

I often get my pistol/revolver and rifle jags/brushes mixed in together.

I shoot: 5.56mm,7mm,9mm,.45,.308,.38/357,.22 and of course 12ga.

My 45 brush is a cylinder brush for the 38 and my 556 brush is the cylinder brush for my 22 etc. I also have 9mm and 45ACP in rifles...at least I have similar calibers.

Good thing that I also use boresnakes....flame on you anti boresnake guys.:rockOn:

Hmmm....the father of a friend of mine has a basket containing a fine collection of wrenches- virtually all of them 9/16".

So, while I don't know where the bore brushes go, 9/16" wrenches appear to like to retire to Regina Beach.
 
They're hiding in your range box inside some old empty brass cases you picked up. Anyone know where chrony sky screen rods hide? Seems to me you put them in the box when you pack up and next time you go to check loads voila, one gone.
 
I keep my brushes and jags in those really small Plano tackle boxes. The clear plastic kind. They're about 4"x6" with 5 slots. Put a strip of masking tape inside the lid to mark the calibers on and just drop them back in the proper slot when you're done.

I love those flat, clear plastic tackle boxes. They come in all kinds of sizes, and they're great for keeping all the small, easily lost doo-dads where you can find them. I use them for cleaning supplies, reloading stuff, gun parts and lots of other good stuff. Not to mention fishing tackle. Helps me keep the bench somewhat organized.
