What is this BSA rifle worth? The calibre is 270.
I'd start thinking how much better is this than a new Savage package rifle or Stevens 200, unless I particularly wanted a BSA.
BSA's are underrated and sell for much less than there worth! They compare to Husky's in quality and workmanship, and have the great mauser action. They are far superior to ANY new punch-pressed new gun 550 or less! This gun with older but quality Leu is worth 550-575 all day long.
They are heads and shoulders above the Savage rifles when it comes to quality.
...
....... or do they want to save money and have something that is quite good enough. .
Just getting back to the original poster in this thread. What model is that 270 BSA. I need to get some parts for my father in law's 30-06 and it looks exactly like that 270 but has no model designation-makes it tough when parts suppliers ask you what kind it is. Any help would be appreciated. I specifically need the safety lever that you push with your thumb since the detent on his is worn off and the safety can disengage very easily-not a very good design and currently is not safe to carry in the field.
