I just got this evil looking street sweeper (my first shotty) for my birthday, and I tried it out yesterday (Aug 3rd) at the PoCo range. I put about 12 rounds of #7 birdshot through her before I was politely informed by one of the range wardens that shooting buckshot was a no-no, and I wondered why until my Dad in law told me that his 25 meter target looked like a sieve. (oops!)
I resorted to shooting off my "Bear Busters" (Federal 3" 1 and 3/4 ounce rifled slugs) and I found that this load is not the best to be used for casual target practice. Every time I blasted off with one of these artillery shells, the entire range got quiet, although I heard a few chuckles when the resulting recoil had it's way with me. (Note to self: cheap ass hard plastic fold away stock sucks, must buy Knoxx stock or similar)
Other than that, this $260 version of the Remington 870P ($500 and up) worked flawlessly, it is identical to form and function to the 870P that I have trained with at work!
