can we make a "outlaw/grizzly/mall ninja/Chinese ####" sub-forum? wading through all the junk gun threads to find info is getting tedious....

:weird:

I'd have to agree... Do people own shotguns worth more than a few hundred dollars nowadays? Can't say I really don't give a crap about Hatsans or the newest Chinese shotgun I can buy and maybe be satisfied with. Gotta say I do own two Norc 12gs myself though.

If you are looking for votes: Yes.

I rarely check this thread for just that reason. If there was at least a 50% chance of finding a thread about hunting / sporting / classic shotguns I would browse through more often.

Would the idea be to lump "inexpensive" shotguns into a new subforum, or "tactical" shotguns? Or just whatever you feel is an "abomination" to the classical shotgun?

I agree with the idea if it means the shotgun snobs will stop raining on the parade...

Not everyone needs a $2500 shotgun to use for wilderness defence or to have fun at the range.

yes

You read my mind, Any knock offs and assult guns need to be seperated. No pistol grips, mag extentions, flash light holders, or rocket lauchers

I think just the knock-off and MIC stuff needs to go. Nothing wrong with accessories IMO...

So a 12.5" DA Grizzly would go to the subforum... but a $800.00 870 Police with $300.00 12.5"-14" Dlask barrel stays on the snob side?

One is just as "mall ninja" as the other, aesthetically similar, and work exactly the same... with the differences being in fit, finish, and some higher quality parts in crucial spots.

We dont need anymore divisions guys... just open minds.

When I first started reading this thread I thought it was a silly idea, but the more I think about it, the more I have to agree with splitting it out... Rifles are not all lumped into one forum; they are broken out into sporting, black rifles, red rifles, and milsurp. Maybe it is time for the same approach to be taken for shotguns...

Thats a reasonable argument. And look! No slagging!

This thread is FUDD-tastic!

Part of the problem is that those who only like the traditional guns, would never post. Being a FUDD means that everything is perfect the way it was. What si there to discuss. Nobody will post about buying a new gun, cause your classic from 67 still works fine. Nobody will post about fixing it, because guns from 67 don't break. Nobody will post about mods because they are perfect as they are.

I think we should leave the shotgun thread as is, but create a new OT subforum called FUDD: The cranky geezer's art of whining and closed mindedness. *Geezers wheezy voice* You damn kids!
