Damnedest thing I ever saw was about 6 years ago we were driving back to camp after a morning out hunting and my buddy was driving. I was still eyeing the cut lines hoping for a late morning spot when a deer runs out of a treeline about 75 yards off the road. I yell "deer" but it's really moving. Literally 3 seconds later a wolf comes flying out of the same treeline in hot pursuit. "Wolf" I holler. Quick as I could get the words out of my mouth they were across the clearing and into the next batch of trees - deer running for it's life and the wolf running for it's lunch. Often wonder how it ended up.

Funny tho that he predicts an infraction....
. I belive one could have tactfully made a joke about racial profiling... But I believe the moment has passed

I would have dropped my basket, hiked up my little red dress and run all the way back to Grammas!
Hahaahhahahaha! Remember that old bag got eaten... Probably the same damm wolf.... Got into a bad patch of mushrooms did he? Your buddy, not the wolf...
I remember watching a National Geographic special about the Wolves in BC and it showed how wolves would prefer to ambush and run the prey into a bog, marsh, or deep snow. Or they would try to get part of the pack ahead of the animal to try and surround it and weaken it by bleeding it.
The moral of the story?? Always bring a gun with you while enjoying nature.![]()
Just a quick question, are you allowed to carry non-restricted firearms in the bush in BC without a hunting license?
As long as you have a PAL I believe so yes. At least I do when I go hiking around here, had to many run ins with pissed of moose, startling a bear or two, and watching a cougar's ass go bounding down the trail ahead of me.
