Still Haven't Heard Back From M14Doctor...

* I don't mean to make a thread about this topic, but since he is a registered dealer on this website, I figured it was necessary.


Well. Last time I spoke to him was over two weeks ago. He communicated with my brother informing him that if we didn't have the stocks in 10 days he would re fund us the money. Well it's been nearly 20 days and we still havent heard from him.

Just to let everyone know, I bought a stock from him 7 months ago and this is where it got me.

If anyone knows if he's still alive, please let me know.
 
Ya I have been tring to get a hold of him too. I think he moved but I don't know if he has his computer set-up @ his new place & I think he changed his phone number too.
 
That's all fine and dandy, but at least keep us updated. I just want my money at this point. I have already moved on from M14's many months ago. The stock I bought it useless to me now and for the fact that I don't even have it in my possession anyways.
 
Every year, it's the same thing.

Hunting season in boys and girls and he does have a life aside from CGN...

So then maybe he shouldnt start a business and accept money for products he cant ship.... Oh, also, I never knew hunting season was for 7 months straight ;)

Keep checking their profiles and see if he comes back online and doesnt answer your questions. Thats really all that can be done. Other than that, start using the trader rating. People shouldnt worry about retaliatory feedback, if they have a negative i always look at the other end of it, and see the whole story.

I got him to re-install my chopped barrel about a week and a half ago. Took about half a week of emails back and forth to set up, no issues. The biggest problem dealing with him is that he is a one man show. He does everything himself. I have found that if you are understanding of that and have patience, you will eventually get your stuff and it will have been worth it. Yes he does move a lot, and that also effects his turnaround time.

I have done several deals with him, and all have been slow, but worth it in the end.

Do you both think that your are the only customers he has??? Give me a break... Better yet, give him a break.

Sure 6 months is getting up there but I have not seen one bad trader rating on him yet. I guess the difference for me is that I've met with Tom dozens of times and know he's an honest guy, I'm sure your stuff will show.
 
I'm responding tio this from my personal account and not the M14Doctor dealer account as this was a private deal with Kyle87t and Lazedout and is not associated with the M14Doctor business...... SO.....

here's the deal
I have spent the past few months dealing with my possibly soon to be exwife and on top of all that, a very sick couple of parents, a 20 year old son whose throwing his life away... A landlord's son who stole from me and someone trying to break into my house and shop in Langley.... oh and this small business i manage to keep going associated with CGN.. Yes this has had me running circles and just plain out to lunch sometimes. I've relocated my residence and now have a big shop set up for custom rifle work and stocks.

As far as Kyle87t and his stocks go, i shipped them, they were confirmed as delivered by canada post..... but apparently these guys did not get the stocks. So.... i had to investigate myself and had canada post track the entire shipping of thier stocks, which literally took weeks . I found that i had shipped them to the wrong client.... very bad yes. So the stocks have been sent by that client and forwarded to kyle87t and lazedout, I expected them to arrive last week but apparently they have not. So.... what does a guy do, when a client is saying something didn't arrive but canada post says it was delivered. I had to take the extra time to ensure that i wasn't getting ripped off..... again. Yes , i've been scammed here as well but lost the tracking slip so could not disprove that client's claim of a lost stock..... I sent him a second one but I feel i was ripped off. So, now when ever something goes missing, I take due diligence to ensure where it went and so on.

Take Winz for example, he recently purchased an Oprod from me. I shipped it express post. It never got there. So when he contacted me I went to canada post. I was told I could file for lost package after the standard 30 day wait time for applying for the insurance. Winz isn't freakin out, nor is he posting threads on the forum about it. He will be compensated or will get the item he paid for.

When Kyle87t and Lazedouts stocks went missing, I got no phone call...... only p.m.'s on gun nuts, when my profile and dealer add both state that it's better to email me as I'm not logged on here much right now. In thier defense, i did check my junk email box recently and there was an email from them.

My track record may not be perfect, BUT i always follow up and finish a deal. I am not a big outfit, nor am i a big online retailer, I'm a one man show. Due to this, I have put retail and product developement on hold and am only working on rifles at this time. If you expect me to behave as a major retailer with employees that ensure everything goes like clockwork, please deal elsewhere. I do this for the enjoyment and to further the interest and popularity of the m14 type rifle

I think of a few of the more vocal guys lately, trashin my name on the internet..... suposedly unhappy with thier dealings with me..... however, these comments and complaints were not brought to me by phone , email or p.m. ..... they were aired out on CGN months after the deal. examples would be madaxe complaining about a screw on his stock..... Paulinski complaining about a cracked stock...... it was advertised with pictures and did in fact come with an arsenal repair to one side..... that's how it was advertised, why it was cheap.... again months later he complains in the open forum instead of p.m.ing me when it arrived.

So, long and short, if you have dealings with me and there is a problem.... I have an email addy, a p.m. box AND a phone. If you choose to slag me in an open thread rather than engage me in productive communication....... i won't be too motivated to get right on it and solve the problem. Sound unfair?
I've done literally thousands of dollars worth of business thru this site over the past few years with a flawless record up to about 6 months ago.... but i always finsih my deals.
One guy any of you could ask, the guy who waited almost a year to get his stock, is Paulz, here on the forum. He endured the longest wait for a lost stock out of any deal i have had on CGN. He never once posted threads about it. My reputation reaches back a few years and I'm not about to take any more of this name dragging and slagging i have endured from a select few on this site.

As always i will endeavor to improve how i do things, i will right any mistakes that are my fault and continue to offer my services to those who can see past these "issues" that have affected my dealings somewhat over the past few months.

So with that, I'm heading back into the shop as there are several gun nuts M14's sitting on the bench in various states of build and I'm sure they will be quite happy to have them back in thier mitts. I mean no offensive to you, as any one who is willing to try and make a go as a business in the firearms community should be applauded.

That being said, even by your own admission there are far too many misplaced items or late deliveries. While everyone knows that life gets in the way sometimes, this looks and sounds more like a lack of organisational skill. It is truly unfortunate the things going on in your life, but if you make your customers suffer as well, many will jump ship.
 
your absolutely right Navy Cuda...... and for that reason i announced some months ago that i was ceasing retail operations and just offering gunsmithing services. Not one of those customers is on here slagging me.
simply put, if i have an issue with someone i've purchased from, i pick up a phone...... my phone never rang. Also it should be noted that while these fellows stocks were being done up, they were already trying to sell them to someone else.... deciding that the m14 was not thier thing. So i got emails from thier prospective buyers asking if the stocks could be painted in other schemes.....one of those guys even sent his address for the stock to be redirected to.... then no contact for over a month... then threads on gunnutz asking for my whereabouts...... but still no phone call.


BUT, I screwed up, so i'm not trying to pass the buck onto my clients. In the end, they will get the product as paid for.... matter of fact it shoukld be any day now. I am not obligated to issue a refund, I am obligated to deliver the product as purchased and I have been endeavoring to see that end thru.

So if customers jump ship, well, that's business. However if you want your rifle tuned or custom work done, at arguably the best prices in the country, please email me rather than p.m. me. My reputation in that regard is untarnished and there is a growing list of guys out there with rifles i've tuned that are exceptionally pleased with my work and turn around time. I am in fact guaranteeing 2 week turn around on match condition work..... or it's free, not including barrel chops and shipping fees.
