grandpa wants me to shoot coyotes at his place. it'll be in a hazelnut orchard, and therefore pretty close range, maybe 100 - 150 yards on the outside. would a Ruger 10/22 be adequate, obviously with proper shot placement?
i would use my 7mm, but for there area he's in, that would be way way too loud. the echoes are retarded. the neighbour uses a shotgun on starlings, and it was stupidly loud, even 5 acres away, in the trees. also, i don't own a .17HMR or .22-250, the ideal 'yote guns. and i can't afford to go buy one.
