list of supplies in your camper?

beans, cans of beans, always good as a standby meal

bottle of Rye, a must have, and not that crappy stuff ;)

good cast frying pan and some olive oil, need that for almost every meal

onions, spuds, garlic, salt, pepper

mushroom soup, in the can, makes a quick easy sauce for any meat dish

tomato paste and canned tomatoes, as above

dry pasta, that is good as well as it will never go bad even if frozen.

there you should be ok.

Where you going to be parked I may need to check up on you and your cooking, also to confirm that you have good Rye :D

Add frozen pork chops and steaks, eat them as they thaw(eat the pork quick, the beef just ages), canned potatoes(they're surprisingly good), Bacon, can't believe no one mentioned bacon,(bacon counts as a vegetable when hunting) and eggs, lot's of eggs. Boil some, throw a couple in your pack and there's lunch. Raw eggs will keep for a long time. Leftover bacon, add it to the beans. Frozen hotdogs, they're good for at least a week, maybe a year. Add the leftovers to the beans.(seeing a pattern here?)
Some canned meatball or irish stew. Somewhat nasty, but edible, and quick if you're tired. A canned ham is a nice mid hunt treat, and don't discount good ol' spam type stuff. Fry it up, add beans, you're good to go.
Munchies. If there's a "bulk barn" close, make your own. Nuts, dried fruit, good card playing snack, will do if you're hungry. Definitely onions, dill, paprika, and ketchup(adds flavor to the beans)
I'm also taking a couple cups of flour as I plan on having moose liver and onions(fingers crossed)
And ya, if you're taking 1 bottle of rye you may run short. Medicinal, ya know.

Bacon and eggs  how did I miss that.

I like fairly simple food when hunting, after a day out hunting the last thing you want to do is have to cook something complex.

Unless you have a camp wench that does the cooking and the dishes. :D

oh and some sardines for lunch and in the emergency pack :D

a small BBQ is a nice to have, dont have to wash the frying pan :D

So YOU'RE the guy with the stereo!:)

What, no allman bro's?

You should be thankfull I wasn't playing guitar and "singing".

I think I have a memory of a recent flyfishing trip that involved the Allman Bro's, a bonfire and a couple of bottles of Irish Whiskey.

Nobody mentioned a crib board and cards

yup, the woodchopper covered that...
But no use... I'm so good at cribbage that no-one will play me. Yes, I'm THAT good! ;)
