Norinco 870 14" owners thread

If you're looking for a true 870 clone, I would advise away from the 780 Homeland Security model. It could be more accurately described as "870 in appearance."

I just bought one uber-cheap off the EE for a beater bush gun, and that is what it is.

So far I've tried to put an 870 aftermarket stock on it (no fit) and tried to put its barrel on my 870 (no fit). And the bead sight needed to be loc-tited back in.

It's gone bang flawlessly so it will do what I want it to, but using it as a cheap receiver for a "tacti-cool" build will be a short trip.

O.k. first of all thats not a 12" barrel annnnnnnnnnd next if it is a 12" that folding stock makes it prohib. Now if it is a 14" barrel like I think it is You still may want to check your over all length before posting pics on the interweb.
Hi All,
New to the forum.
I have a Norinco YJ-12 that I picked up from Lever Arms. Is an 870 clone with a 12.5 in barrel and a folding stock and a crappy plastic heat shield. Added a tacstar 6rd side saddle and a 3pt sling. Haven't had a problem with it yet. Not bad for 260$ Will be adding a light and be swapping out the stock and forend once i find somthing I like.

Yeah, realized my mistake after I made my post, it's at 18" barrle. My mind was else where. Sorry for the misinformation.

Ah ha.....It's all good. I just wouldn't want "tha man" kicking in your door.
What a stupid law! eh?

Does anyone have any pictures of their 780-homeland defense as i have yet to actually see one? Im hoping to pick up an hp-9 14" once my tax return gets here.

I measured mine up with the 14" barrel and folder stock, depending on which stock you get its touch and go for overall lenght. And not worth the effort.

I decided to just cut of 3/4" from the buttstock, makes it handier.

I don't have a Norinco 14", but I do have a 14" Norinco barrel on my 870. Bought it off Badboybeeson a while back. It's a lot of fun. It's handy enough that my friends and I can shoot clays with it one-handed: h ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON1S0sfJSv0

And my 11-year-old nephew, who can't manage a full-length barrel on it yet, can now shoot clays with his dad and uncle: h ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmvfql7cMrc

You can't see it in the vid, but the recoil was knocking him back onto his back foot with every shot.

heres a pic of mine in pieces (you can see the broken slide block near the top)

had the semi-standard rough edges of a Norinco, the bluing on the mag tube was pretty terrible though (this is the only norc anything Ive owned that had bad bluing)

Careful fella, weren't you the guy selling "Trogan" brand condoms in gym class?

Shhh! You are going to get me busted! LOL! To all of you who feel the need to buy cheap Chinease firearms, good luck with 'em. Anyways carry on with this Chinease gun blew up thread. I have never seen anything like this on here before.......:nest::stirthepot2::popCorn:

Mine is parkerized, didn't even know they come blue.

Your HP9, or your Homeland Security 780?

Different beast all together. Notice the odd looking angle at the back of the receiver. See the crappy uneven wear on the mag tube? The rough finishing that would slice open flesh?

RUN away from the 780. I can't stress that enough.

Run TOWARDS a real 870/HP9. They is good. :)
