I was up a 2:45, had all my stuff packed and was out the door by 4:00. I got to my area with 45 minutes till legal light so I shut the beater down and had a little nap listening to rain tap on the roof and the odd flash in the sky. When it was light enough to move I headed back into an area I like, parked and walked the quad trails, climbed and called and shot some pictures. It's still too hot to take hunting very seriously and I never heard another shot. I did bump into some guys glassing for sheep but they didn't see anything neither. In one spot I was sitting atop a hill surrounded by deadfall and was chirping on the Hoochie Mama more for the fun of it when a chipmunk decided to investigate the fat man making all that noise. He was within a few feet of me when I suddenly looked right at him and that little bugger took off like there was no Tommorow.
Anyways, here's a few scenery pic's.
