Where are people finding brand new Garand barrels?

I spoke to Jason at Gunco and he says guys are bringing in Garands to be re-barreled and the barrels were brand new, but he didn't know where they came from.

Anyone know?

They have them on eBay too, NOS WW2, New VAR, just depends how much you want to spend.

and we can't buy M1 Barrels from U.S suppliers like Midway and Brownells,..so where are these "cheap and plentiful M1 barrels ..???

Trade-ex brought in a lot of 7.62 NATO barrels for the Garand and carbine, did they not. Maybe this is what Jason is referring to.

Epp's and Bashaw Sports had some .308 Garand barrels when I was in the market as well. Call them both and see if they still have any.

We can't buy US barrels on ebay.

The VAR Barrels were from Europe on eBay.

You need an export permit (Questar) from the US, so yes you can buy from the US.

Douglas will sell you a new 4 or 6 groove, .30-06 or .308, match grade barrel for $275US. Seems to me one of our site sponsors is a Douglas dealer. http://www.douglasbarrels.net/

Go to a barrel maker and have it custom made. A no Brainer.

There's lot's of people that make barrels in Canada.
