Can you please inform us exactly which agency, department, and exactly which individuals are doing the heel dragging and obfuscation on the
importation of surplus 7.62x51nato?? I for one would be
more than happy to pick up the phone and/or write a few letters. I have chatted with some of the guys at the explosives regulatory division and one or two of the senior compliance officers with CBSA and no one said they knew of a reason why such a shipment would be problematic.

I'm not saying the Feds aren't getting in the way of this, I just want to know whom and I want to politely expess my displeasure.

Before this thread gave in to the temptations of drug induced halucinations, mention was made of Pedersoli - if they are involved that would be awesome, they're highly capable of producing terrific firearms. As far as price point goes, if it fell between the under priced (realistically) Chinese product and the massively over priced American product it would be a great deal. Good quality at a reasonable price is always a good thing.
