I'm not quite sure as to what it is. I thought it was a Gadwall when I shot, but it doesn't quite look like one. It has metallic green hues on the black bars on the wings, with silver feathers as well. The body is almost bronze but not quite like a Gadwall and the bill is grey and black. It's too big for a teal, has the look of a pintail, minus the pintail and is a bit smaller then a Mallard. It's actually very pretty in a subtle sort of way and I'm thinking of getting it stuffed. It's either that or it'll be turned into breasts wrapped in bacon.
