What Piece of Kit are you most Excited to Test This Year?

Cutco knife
Let me guess, you bought the orange one to match the rest of your HI-VIZ hunting garb. ;) :p

New to me Yamaha quad, couple high end LED flashlights, 1915 production 1899 Savage take-down in 250-3000... will see a field trip or two during dry weather dedicated deer hunt days.

Minox 8X25mm binos (tiny! getting next week), My weather proof panasonic dmc ts1 camera, and my pending maxP falcon II pack puchase.

Kevin.303 also bought a convection/rotisserie toaster oven for the deer camp, so I look forward to at least cooking a chicken or 2. And I can have a croissant with my morning coffee like a normal person.

To bridge the tactical/hunting divide: my Maxpedition Sabercat bag, Rat Cutlery RC4 (Hi-Viz orange handle of course :D), and I'm going to use my Dominion Grizzly while dogging.

well, i bought a brand new weatherby last year, but the one i really want to shoot a deer with is a 6.5x54 Krag i've had for a couple years, trying different loads. the new trail camera has shown me a few nice ones, hopefully i can get one on the ground

been using a Eberlstock X2 pack, great day pack. Also new Sitka Ascent pants, they've been great for the most part. New Rocky boots kinda suck, waterproof but they hurt my feet. Browning microfleece jacket has been great, works well as a mid layer on cold mornings or as an outside layer on warmer evenings. New rifle, Ruger m77 338F. Shoots well and nice to pack, and takes the abuse well from being drug through the sticks

here it is with the X2 pack

Haven't you discovered Canada boots yet?:D
Unless I'm in extreme alpine conditions or deep snow I don't wear anything else.
Rocky=Crap

Love the pack! Been thinking about getting one for a few years.
Have you had any weight in it?

yes, rocky is generally crap, but my Danners #### the bed on me after 1 year, and I needed something right now and thats all that was available :(

in the X2, my daypack weight is around 15 lbs.

i had nothing but bad experiances with rockys, had a pair of cornstalkers, had to waterproof the seams everytime i used them, and i still ended the day with severly cold, wet and painful feet. hurt my feet constantly, never did fit right

The Miendel Canada is by far the ultimate hunting boot.
Very comfortable and the best ankle support available in a tall hunting boot.

A little expensive, but worth every dime.
