1. the gun itself costs $200 brand new
2. it is about the cheapest center fire rifle you will ever shoot (I think) at $179 per 1120rounds
3. I've pumped over 7 crates (7840 or so rounds) of ammo through mine without a jam, malfunction, misfire or any other problem
4. hell of alot more fun to plink with than a .22
5. about a billion aftermarket accessories that you can get if its your cup of tea
6. my ar is restricted, my sks I can pack into the bush if I want
7. I have several semi auto rifles of all makes and caliber's, and for a non restricted, ive found it to be super reliable, more so than my mini14 or 30
8. a brainless monkey (or Rusky peasant) could strip it down out in the forest without any trouble
9. I can pick off clays at 200 yards all day, and for the price of the rifle, please tell me you have a less expensive one that shoots better
10. its got about 2% of the kick of an SVT40, so speaking for myself anyway, I can dump out a clip significantly more steadily with an SKS than an SVT
I could probably go on all day. the Svt is a great rifle, and in now way do I think the SKS is a beat all gun or anything, I mean, I love my AR way more, and my m14 all in all is a better more sturdy rifle than the SKS as well, but if I could only own an SVT40 or an SKS, I would personally stick with the SKS every time. Im finding it harder to get my hands on 7.62x54r all the time and it pisses me off, as well as I haven't been able to find any spare SVT mags, which would be #11 on my list anyway, that's my .02 cents. Im sure that there are many who will disagree with me, but so many people #### on the SKS saying its an inaccurate pos, and while its not as accurate as an AR by any stretch of the imagination, its an awesome gun imo, and id never get rid of either of mine. Ill shoot my first one to death, if that's possible, then work on the next one

, and in the meantime, ill have spent a small fraction of you die-hard SVT fans
