marstar 70,000/10,000 SKS, eta aug 20th, price $189 new military.

I've got two Russian SKS rifles still sitting in their packing grease, but I'd be down for a couple more if the price is right. As for Yugo M59/66 SKS...my personal favorite SKS and the "prettiest" looking of the bunch. Wouldn't mind adding an Albanian SKS to the collection though, just for the rarity of the item, but I doubt if John has magically come up with thousands of this variant.:)

It is kinda' cool though to think that one our "our" gun businesses is also supplying a major part of the US gun market...then you go on-line on the US based firearms forums and they're crowing about the latest influx of cool surplus arms, while making derogatory comments about us living in socialist Kanada and not being able to own guns!

I still get the giggles everytime I read a US poster going on about the "teak stocks" on those Yugo Mausers that Mitchell's were selling.
 
I'd be pleased if they were Yugo M59's (without the grenade launcher) , I bought one several years ago from Marstar and it was in superb condition, all matching serial numbers, and after some tung oil, really nice birch stock. I seem to shoot very well with it too.
 
buy a few... burry a few... at a bill a piece, i'd grab half a dozen, give them out to my family if ever needed.

due to increasing canadians joining US SKS forums , like h ttp://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php and h ttp://forums.gunboards.com/

the americans are slowly coming to realize that when it come to SKS we are much better off then them .

reasons : they still have russian SKS and norinco ban , all their SKS has to have an import stamp and some of their SKS that was imported in the 90s had the bayo removed . while the only negative we have is the pinning of the mag.
 
My take:

1. If they are pinned properly on the follower or a limiter epoxied into the mag I would by a crate of 10.

2. I would pay extra if they are pinned without screwing the outside of the mag housing with huge friggin weld.

3. Can we get some more details on the origin? I would pay a deposit now if we had some details.

Hmmm...............not sure about how bad off they have it south of the border. Never seen an Albanian or Romanian for sale up here,let alone an East German,North Korean,or North Vietnamese. Seen them for sale down there though.

naming off countries dont help the average joe gets their hands on most of the above , they dont have enuff of the other SKS that explains why their SKS sells for higher than here.

only the romanian and albanian sells for less than $500, the rest only in their dreams .
