x2, although I don't know offhand if mine is a cheap knockoff or the same thing. If it's a clone, I got ripped offActually... it lasted 6 months and then died, either way I got ripped off!
I had one that was similar but I was the Crappy Tire one. Like others here the keypad quit working after 6-8 months. Would've been a "good value" if it lasted.
anyone who would bash this thing is nuts! its 30 dollars!!! gimme a break! its a cheap alternative to an expensive handgun safe. I have one like this and have no problems with it. as far as picking the lock with something like a pick. What about the cheap green safes from crappy tire? there a joke! I would love to see this! Great safe for the price. I agree the XS cargo store is complete crap but sometimes you find a good guy. they also sell those little stick on sirens that you can put on any door hinge or window hinge that adds a little extra security to your gun safes. They cost around 7.00 for 5.
If you open the door and take the back of the door off you'll see the "internals" that control the keypad. Mine is the moment you put batteries in, the thing wont lock, but the moment you take the batteries out, the think will lock up tight.
Mine last about a 1 or more before it started acting up. Now it's just a key safe.
For $30 it's still a decent deal even when the keypad dies. I've just popped the cover off and got the two keys, works just fine for me still.
That safe is junk and XS Cargo is junk too. The ENTIRE store.
For triple the price I could have the equivalent from Sentry, and be one of the many supporting the education of my local locksmiths children![]()
No, not triple....the V330's I bought were $50/ea new. Your money, your choice....
Ok, where can we all buy V330's for $50.00 please?
There is still 1 left in the Lethbridge store. Don't ask how I know that...
