Just wondering if there's any interest in these here in Canada... working on importing a few but will likely need end-user documents for State Department export approval.

Given the exceptionally high price of these firearms I'm just gauging actual interest.

They have a wide range of models in a variety of calibres, but the main one is their M200 Intervention (recently voted the #1 Sniper Rifle by the Military Channel). They are the ultimate long distance target gun (with a price to match)... @ $15,000.00 Canadian plus scope and ballistic computer.

Calibre options on the M200: the .408CHEYTAC and the .375CHEYTAC

Ammunition cost is @ $1,990 for a case of 198 rounds or @ $10.00 per round.

The .408 round is capable of SUB Minute of Angle groups at distances up to 2,500 yards (according to CHEYTAC's website). Not too many places I can shoot something like this here in Ontario but I understand that out west there's places to shoot this monster... imagine taking large game at over 2,000 meters

For the man who has everything ;)

Any takers?

Mark

Does it come in metallic blue? if not I will have to pass. What a sweet piece of kit. If someone does get one I'd love to help them break it in!!

Surprised you would bring them in, I have heard/read negative things about both accuracy and quality of Cheytrac rifles.

How bout some Barrets instead!

We require a deposit of $1,100.00 Cd. This consists of a non-refundable admistration fee of $100.00 (included in the total price) and a $1,000.00 deposit that would be refundable if for any reason Barrett’s export license is refused.

Doesn't look good, now if Wolverine get them in, they wouldn't have any trouble selling it...

Only if it comes with a .22 adapter. Nieh,he,he,he,he,snort...

Seriously, too rich for my blood.

Holy crap. Is that ammo platinum guilded or something.

Re: negative reports

USP,

I'm not sure what you've heard about the cheytac rifles, but they're top-notch shooters. The only complaints are from the guys in the field (some ODAs have them) and those are based on the rifles weight & the lack of an easy ammo supply.

The only guy I know who owns his own M200 is Mark Walburg aka Bob Lee swagger.

Oh, and the M200 DOES have a .22 cal conversion kit, but it costs another $16,000 Canadian.

:D

Boy....they sure hyped it up in that movie I'll tell ya. A cold bore shot to 1760 yards...hitting a target that's only maybe 3"x4". I'll buy 5 of them if they can guarantee that level of precision. First of all.....I want to know how much the guys south of the border are paying for them.

They retail $12K to $13K in the US. That makes Mark's price an incredible value.

Mark if the buyer had to sign a DSP-83 and in the future they wanted to sell it what is the procedure?

Can you get reloading dies? This rifle interests me.
