CHEYTAC Rifles

They retail $12K to $13K in the US.....an incredible value.

:kickInTheNuts:

Although the rarity of these gives them a very high 'Drool' factor...
...and we have to pay to play....

The price is far from 'Value':p

They are double the price of a EDM or Barret.

Lotto Max tonight is 30 million. If I win I will buy 10 CheyTacs and give them away :)

Sorry, I only got 3 numbers......:(

We require a deposit of $1,100.00 Cd. This consists of a non-refundable admistration fee of $100.00 (included in the total price) and a $1,000.00 deposit that would be refundable if for any reason Barrett’s export license is refused.

Doesn't look good, now if Wolverine get them in, they wouldn't have any trouble selling it...

Wolverine is selling the .338Lapua 98Bravo... not the .416 Model 99. The Model 99 is classified as a "Named Prohibited" here in Canada, even in .416 calibre... cannot be imported for civilian end-users.

Keep in mind that CHEYTAC also offers a variety of model configurations... their LER338 (in .338LAPUA) starts at @ $4,500 US (@ $6,200 Canadian) and their LER408 and LER375 start at around $6,500 US (so @ $8,900 Canadian).

All of these are importable and classified as non-restricted firearms.

I don't believe the price is high or Too High, Life is short, if you could afforded to shoot in that class do it.
Just a quick question for you , let say a guy purchase his Cheytac how much ammo are you willing to sell for that price?, ($10 a round).

Well....

If I sold about 14 or 15 of my guns I could get one of these... before ammo.

I love the gun, but to be totally honest, this is way out of the price range of most shooters. Good luck though, because I bet that there will be a few people who will pay that for them. The one Alberta Tactical Rifle had was sold within a month or two if I remember correctly.

Too bad Canadians can't get the can that goes with it. Overkill for my 200 yrd range:p Met the Israeli bloke from Future Weapons that trailed it in the states. He was definitely stoked about the platform. Lot of money for bragging rights, I guess.

Looked very very seriously at one of these from a different retailer last year. That was until I understood what an End User Certificate was. I would not sign a document of this nature in my lifetime.

I thought the projectiles were actually spun on a lathe, and were solid brass. At least thats what I remember seeing on a program about the cheytac .408 a while ago. There is no commercial availability or loadings currently (of course there isn't, what ammo company would load for a gun that has maybe 20 or 30 users) other than military. Very interesting gun and ballistics all the same. I'd rent my wife out for a few months if I could get the gun AND a couple of cases of ammo. (she's really hot)

I don't understand why you find this a problem.I don't think it's sinister at all. They just want you to sign and agree that the rifle is going to be used by you and not re-exported, that's it.

I had 3 here when I shot SHOOTER.The rifle is way to heavy for what it is.The stock is not very well designed.
Don't get me wrong, the caliber has tons of potential but I'm not a fan of this rifle.

Any time you wanna trade jobs and experience the excitement of the high tech telecommunications world, you let me know ok?

Please.

Could you post some pictures of your wife up here. I just got paid and I am able to decide later tonight.

We have some Stiller cheytac actions coming for a couple of Canadians. Not to forget the superb Barnard actions. More than one way to launch a projectile.
