He should look more serious when checking the chamber after a mag dump, shooting is not a game.

Neat looking rifle, that's about it.

You're kidding right? should he go on feeling the chamber too? and then looking through the bore too? :kickInTheNuts:

Not too hot about putting 7.62X39 in the AR magazine system. Too long and too much curvature - it will be hard to sit a mag and perform IA.

You really are a fudd. He did EXACTLY what every IA/stoppage drill around the world says to do, wpn fails to fire cant the wpn and inspect the chamber/position of the bolt. Find me a drill written that says how long you need look...:jerkit::runaway:

No need to start throwing the word "fudd"

Greentips is right, my bad, I'm only inflaming the situation with the word "fudd".

Bottom line - up until the video cuts out that shooter is picture perfect. The eye can determine the state of the chamber is a fraction of a second. Putting your finger in the chamber is well ...

Damnit, that came out wrong.

I meant to say that YES I WAS SARCASTIC, and that NO he should not check the chamber more carefully :D :D

IM NOT A FUDD!!!!!!!!

He canted the weapon and saw the bolt fully to the rear. Solution; reload mag. IA complete. Logically speaking, there should be no way for a phantom round to mysteriously seat itself into the chamber. You would give the chamber a glance, nonetheless, 'cause you never know...

For those non-proficient with the firearm, I would definitely agree in taking more time to assess the stoppage and properly remedy it.

Anywho... Looks like a fun shorty subcarbine, but when it comes to the AR type I prefer mine in the 5mm range. If you really want some of the benefit of the 7.62 short, you'd be better off getting 5.56 rounds loaded with a heavier (80+) grain (and a barrel with a high twist rate). That's just my opinion, of course whereas I'm not taking into account the economic benefit of using the soviet surplus cartridge, rather just the performance.
