For me, it's a tossup between an MP40 or a Beretta 38/42. The MP40 has ### appeal, but the Beretta has the most inherently reliable magazines.

9mm is cheapest to reload and carbide dies are available, unlike 7.62x25mm (surplus 7.62x25 won't be around forever). If ammo cost were no object, the Thompson would my choice.

The PPSh-41 is substantially different from a Suomi. The Suomi is closed bolt rather than open bolt like a PPSh.

Even the germans loved the PPSH, they even rechambered it to 9mm

I could have done the Ja#####e sub gun, but they only made about 10000 during the war

the germans were short of weapons the entire war and used captured weapons ANY weapons when needed

changeing them to 9mm just made supply easier

I like the PPSH 41, but I voted for the "Chicago Piano" too.

Well I am happy that the PPSH is in second place. wish it was first place lol, but time will tell. I have seen you tube vids of both the thompson and PPSH firing, and the PPSH looks to be more controlable when firing off the whole 71 round mag all at once than the Thompson with its 30 round mag. It would be a great gun for the zombie invasion.
