Coyote hide prices

hey, even $20 is $20, bout half the tank, on a good day, almost a pack of rounds

so where one starts to search for people that buy them off?
aron Berrie/Parry Sound area? GTA?

I've heard they are down this year $15- $20 for a pelt. I know in the past the hutterites would take them whole and a good one they might give you $20 - $30 max for a nice coyote.

I think you can sell them on reserves....but may not want to advertise here....IIRC a CO at the Toronto Sportsmen show advised me a permit is required to sell/trade pelts. Is it true? I'm not sure.

i attended the fur sale last winter and wild fur of any description was way down in price .coyotes were withdrawn from the sale except for some high quality pelts .ranch mink sold well with large sales to china . the russians were few as buyers as their economy has tanked .the real rare furs such as tanned and finished polar bear were bringing high prices up to eight thousand dollars a pelt .buyers and sellers are regulated with permits and other restrictions .

Just an aside to this subject....in the past I was visiting Inuvik. A stop at the Northern Store was on the must do list.
Near the clothing section, there were three very nice long hair pelts, properly prepared.
A wolf pelt, a silver fox pelt & something else which I cannot remember now.
I asked one of the store employees if these were trapped locally.
His responce was no, they came from Alberta.
It was said that Northern Alberta often produces the ideal grade of winter fur.

Who would want the hide from such an ugly and filthy animal? I shoot them, throw them on the back of the quad and burn them. What else would you do with an animal that is very likely infested with disease and parasites?
