I picked up 30 today. What do you guys think of them? As good as brenneke? They sure look neat...
Where did you pick them up,B? Were they in Red Deer? I would be interested in trying some out as well?
They are a little softer than the Brennekes and don't have the same penetration in my experience. They are just as accurate as the Brennekes in my 870P and I tend to use the Challengers for practice and keep the more expensive Brennekes for use in the field.
The Challenges are Foster-type slugs. They work well and are accurate in my guns but I like the Brenneke's better. Why are you switching from the Federal?II noticed they do seem to be a bit soft, would you say they penetrate better than Foster style slugs? I'll be finding out for myself soon but I'd like to know your opinion.

Does anyone know if Lebarons in Markham Ontario sell the Challenger shotgun slugs? Or Bass Pro for that matter in Vaughan?
Neither Lebaron or BPS have the Challengers. you have to got to Al Simmons in Hamilton, or Gagnon's in Oshawa.
Accuracy Plus, in Peterbourgh Ontario used to carry brenneke classic rotweill.Neither Lebaron or BPS have the Challengers. you have to got to Al Simmons in Hamilton, or Gagnon's in Oshawa.
