Appreciation for Service Program for Canadian Forces Personnel

Well We have dates now... I just changed for a double stack... :D

Greetings Ladies and Gentleman,

We appreciate your patience and apologize for the numerous delays. We understand your frustration.
This email is to inform you of the status for the single stack pistol you have ordered from us.
The factory cannot give us an ETA for delivery of the light railed single stack frame.
The wait has been extremely long and we feel we have lost your trust and patience.

Please know that we are committed to getting the product to you.
We have decided to offer you a few alternatives.

You can change your order to the double stack frame with the light rail.
I have attached a sample flyer of this pistol.
or
Change your order to the single stack frame without the light rail.

The pistol will still come with the same engravings and finish that was originally ordered.
The package and price will also remain the same.
If you decide to change to the single stack without the light rail and you have ordered the light we will cancel the light.
If you choose not to change your order we will keep you updated throughout the months on the ETA for the single stack with the light rail.

We plan to deliver these throughout the months of February/March 2010.
The credit card will be charged about 8-10 weeks prior to delivery.
We do ask that if you would like to change your order please let us know by December1, 2009.
This will allow production enough time to plan.

Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and would like to assure you that our commitment to your product delivery remains our top priority.

Sincerely,

Kim Best

I'm sticking with what I have, but MY GOD, feb/mar/apr delivery? for that type of turnaround time, is it too much to expect at least some factory precision in the workmanship...

Tucson, got that email too... swapped to a double-stack .45 as well :) I'm glad to see that they're doing something about the wait time; would've sucked had they not made any offer...

Though I will say that I am very much looking forward to receiving this, as it will certainly be an original addition to my collection, I would not wait this long for any other weapon!

Im actually glad this happened... I wanted a double stack from day 1 but was not offered.... LOL

good thing come to those who wait....

The single action, double stack 45 was last year's offering.

Now I have a couple days to consider whether to go with rail or no rail.

Weird if it was offered last year, whats the reason they didn't offer it this year ( until now )

More expensive to produce ? or just what people wanted ?

Last year they offered the double stack 45 and the LDA trigger 9mm as the two offerings.

People wanted a single stack and .40S&W...so that was this year's offering.

I know a few with the double stack 45 and are very happy with it, but it also took a long time for them to get it as well.

Well they can only realistically make so many CF specific pistols in min order batches. They can't just make 5 double stacks, 10 single, 7 9mm SA doublestack, etc...

So the 2009 program has run ites course and I missed out. When does the 2010 start??

Given that the 2009 run isn't even close to being fulfilled and there are many other similar programs for TF, unit specific(esp US), I don't personally see the 2010 program starting until later.

WORDS TWICE is the OPI for the annual programs however. He is however in and out from the forums at the moment.

If you haven't already, sign up for the Para forums for info that drops in through those means.

I believe 2009 is still open. since it has not gone into production. I wished there was also a 9mm of the sf45a.

Time for a...

Should have gotten the LDA last year...

I got a response from him when I inquired about the CF program- so he's got some access to computers. Hope it also means he's well!

Don't do it. I ordered a 45 and 40 when I was in Afghanistan in 08. Still waiting for the 40SW. Almost two years now, and the updates are getting less and less frequent. I plan on calling again sometime this week to try and at least get my money back... thats right, I paid for both pistols.
