Just wondering is the new Steyr AUG A3 legal in Canada? If so I'm going to go with it being restricted? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

This is the main problem with the how prohibs are designated in Canada. The government originally prohibited a name and added the clause: any physical variant of said original name. Kind of sleazy way of doing things, but it's worked wonders for the antis. The RCMP don't even have to inspect a firearm to prove it's dangerous to the public, they just brush it off as a variant and prohib it is.

Very sleazy, somewhat lazy to =/

Even if we could get AUGs there would likely only be one importer and they would cost $3000+.
They cost around $2000 back in the 90's. If I remember correctly the rifle came with a box, manual and six mags.

The last AUG's I handled (before we were enslaved) were the Black ones they were $2895 retail (the boxed set as described above but I only remember 5 mags), so I'd guess we'd be looking in the $4000+ range now. The green ones were slightly higher (I have no idea why).

The AUG is the bullpup the others all want to be.

While the Tavor is nice... I'd pay $4k for a genuine AUG A3 over $3k for a Tav.

I had an airsoft version of one and sold it to finance things that use gunpowder.
It was by far my favorite.

My AUG cost a lot less in the 80s and would shoot all ammo regardless of weight within 3 inches! Unfortunately, I sold it!

So good to go if I just pick it up instead?:D

You sound just like the fellow who offered me $15,000.00 US cash for my MAG58, all I had to do was deliver to Wpg. airport !! Now that would pay for a good Safari, maybe, just maybe, ............... no, no I think I would rather chase another mamba. I smell a rat.

Bought two from C&M Sports in Surrey. They were 1K each, came with two tall mags and one shorter one...we ordered 42 rounders (I think they were 42 rounders) , rudimentary cleaning kit, scope cover and sling. Both my guns had serious jamming issues until the gas piston was replaced under warranty ...not sure what they did but they did come back less the springs. I totally miss the gun, it was a fun shooter, great truck gun and very accurate. Spent many a day at TMSA with it. Sparrow is Sad now.
