2/3 size IPSC Target

I am with you on that, but hey, it is done and gotta get used to.
Aim small miss small

No no we most certainly DO NOT HAVE TO GET USED TO IT!

We can tell the world body to shove their PC targets right up their asses.

We can put in a motion at the next meeting that they REMOVE this asinine rule and give us freedom.

That is what we can do.........

Rolling over is never an option that I will take.

Storm,
I was vocal (when it was known to us that they are to stay, before I didn't know anything about smaller targets to be part of IPSC stages) about smaller IPSC target and still would prefer not to see them. I didn't like the idea of getting rid of metric target. Our Regional Director on the contrary likes the smaller targets, and that is his opinion which I have no problem to respect, but I do not agree. The idea was never discussed enough to the point shooters make a decision, so we have what we have.
I don't like it but I gotta get used to.

I think we should have a IPSC forum when in the future we (only IPSC shooters) can talk about what is coming and what we can do about it.

So, their other range is only 25m, that explains why they are planning to use small targets only on half of the stages. :sniper:
Well....a 25 meter swinger partially exposed behind a no-shoot, in low light....might be a challenging shot.
Just sayin' is all.

Rob, don't give them crazy ideas. Some people actually going to shoot that match. :D

I'm going to shoot it. But I don't care how big the target is, or even what shape it is because I don't shoot at the target; I shoot at a SPOT on the target. So bring on the pain!!

At 50m distance, the spot on the target is going to be smaller then your red dot. Iron sights rule!

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

Did I mention NO?

We (you?) I most certainly do NOT have to "get used to" it.

Instead we can FIGHT!

Stand up to those who think that they are our betters and that they know what is good for us.

FIGHT!

Remember and FIGHT!

Storm,

did you know that the smaller IPSC targets were coming to IPSC shooting in advance? I didn't, and this is the problem. We should be inform ahead about such a serious changes and as IPSC members should be able to have some say. How can we do it?
I think we should have our own side where our IPSC leaders will inform us about changes to our sport and then we can have some discussion as a group. I have also noticed that actually some of the members like it, and this is the hardest part. We are not all united on this front and that is why it is hard to fight it.

The agenda of the IPSC 2009 assembly been published in advance at GV site and there might be even some discussion out there. In my understanding the idea was that you read agenda and communicate your thoughts to the Regional director.

Careful there. If you are referring to me I didn't say that I liked it or disliked it. To clarify; I will shoot whatever target is the flavor of the day, no matter what size it is.

Hi Rob,
I said 'some members like it' (check the entire post) and you say: ..."I will shoot whatever target is the flavor of the day, no matter what size it is"... which to me means that you have no preference to the size of the target.

Fixed it for you. Telling me is one voice in 2000 - if your S/C speaks - it's one voice in 9.
The Agenda also went to the Canadian Section Coordinators within days of it's publishing asking for feedback.

Right. I'm not looking at it as a political thing, though I can see how some would. I just look at the scoring surface and the resultant shot difficulty, and calculate accordingly.

Why do you making it such a big deal? Don't we have partial targets already? Even with my limited IPSC experience I saw all kind of shapes, including A zone only targets. Those small ones aren't any special. Though it is sad that they can't be combined with a regular size targets on the same stage.
