To each their own, I guess. I have a Swiss CQB. Great gun; different class though and restricted. Heavier, fixed sights and no standard mounts. A few more $, too. And no optics inclusive. This isn't a comparison; they're both great, wouldn't part with either.
I'm running a CQB as well. Lots of rail options available, B&T, KPA, etc...Not having the MARS sight "inclusive" with the Swiss Arms is a good thing. It isn't a good sight and most Tavor owners would've much preferred not having to pay close to a $1000 for it.
What Gremlin? I have yet to see it in nearly two crates of ammo and I'm not the original owner. The CZ is not my go to rifle but I wouldn't feel bad if it was all I had left.

That doesn't surprise me. Most who have no intended role for their firearms or a grasp on the fundamentals of marksmanship don't.
Seeing how you've validated the Tavor with your list of requirements I'd say you're safe there. I have to ask, why the left hand or bottom eject
The price on the mepro portion is CAD$300-400 retail. I think it is a decent deal, myself. I think many will like the new reticle.I'm running a CQB as well. It isn't a good sight and most Tavor owners would've much preferred not having to pay close to a $1000 for it, when there are much better and most cost effective options available such as the Aimpoint or EoTech. The Tavor is still a well made rifle, but like anything, the customer always want it cheaper!![]()
So the cz is reliable because you haven't experienced the gremlin even though many others have, yet the tavor is a POS because it can sometimes slam fire on soft primered ammo, like many other semis?
You're embarassing yourself on here, especially after canam posted those links.
LOL! Nice attempt at an insult, but that's a big Fail there. Plus it's also the worst attempt to deflect that I've ever seen, seeing as how neither point you make has any reference to anything in the thread. Next time at least try to find something a little relevant.
However, as I have plenty of free time I'll bite. I've seen a lot of your posts over the last year, and you seem to be big on theory as to the "practical application" of many firearms, but don't appear to grasp that there are some (dare I say many?) of us that simply don't care. I have very specific intended roles for my firearms, each and every one of them, and none of the uses have the words range, fight or match in them. My guns work on the farm, provide enjoyment in a gopher patch or just hang there to look nice, and even though those reasons might not meet your narrow criteria of what a gun should do or how it does it, I still don't care.
Of course I'm safe. My opinion is always safe, same as yours. Same as my choices. I'm sure you already know the answer to your question and already have a rebuttal pre-typed, so I'll answer with this...I want left or bottom eject just because I want it. Not because of any "tactical" or "support side" issues or any other arcane theoretical need, but simply because I do. Or maybe it's because it'll throw the empty out of the driver's side window so the brass on the seat won't make the sheep nervous. Or because for once in my life I can have the brass move away from my face instead of across it.
Are those good enough reasons for you? Or do I need some sort of real world data to back them up?
Nice long thoughtful post about reasonable discourse erased, and replaced with short paragraph about how (thinly disguised?) insults and putting words in my mouth do nothing but convince me that you're too narrow minded to see past your perceptions of what is "right" when it comes to how people approach firearms and shooting.
Back to the regularly scheduled programming...I'm really looking forward to seeing the new reticle in the Mepro. Hopefully it'll be the cat's pajamas for 'yotes out to a couple hundred yards, and if someone can come up with a reasonably priced mount and/or magnifier it'll be good for gophers too.![]()
