Those cheap ones will fail, either the scope but most likely the mount will break away. They are made for airsoft, not for recoil. How do I know?

OK - I see now. I was thinking that you had something in front of the sight but I see now that it is a light or laser mounted on the side.
Still loving it. They don't lock together, but rather they each lock into the rifle independently.
I only got the new Aimpoint on the rails zeroed yesterday after moving the one that was originally on it to the T97. I'm anxious to get out again soon and check how well it holds zero after my removal of the top rail to clean the gas piston.
Those ones have been out for a year or more.

What Stevo said. Here's the original thread on the rail when I first mounted it. Since then it's come off, and then put back on when I got my second VZ.

I've had enough people ask about this rail that I've worked a deal with NEA to put it into production. Keep your eyes out in the new year for some great new products that we'll be working on with NEA.
If there's anything that you guys want to see incorporated into this rail speak up.. re: mounting points, serviceability, length, etc.. shoot it out there.
Yeah, a fixed portion of top rail that does not need to be removed, or moved at all, to take out the piston. Front or rear of the rail makes no difference to me.
