Although the Calico and the Luger with the 32 round drum mag would make good back-ups.
You don't really need too much power to brain a zombie. .357 is more than enough, and allows for quicker follow-ups than those bigger calibers.
Do you throw the gun at the 9th zombie or what?

Glock 17 with 33 round mag....add 2 rounds if you put the magazine base plate extender. so you will then have 35+1 rounds of 9mm

A Ruger .22 Mag Single Six. Once you run out of shot start hitting them with the butt of the revolver.
I know this is the handgun and revolver forum but come one.... EVERYONE knows that the only really SURE FIRE zombie finisher is a 12 gauge with a pouch full of low count big ball buck shells. After all, there is NOTHING more cool than the sound of a pump 12'ie being cycled. If that sound could be copyrighted it would make the holder buckets of money.
Mind you for those times when you run out and need to break out of the mobbing zombies and run a bit while shuffling in some new shells a 1911 with a mag of .45's on my hip would sure be a welcome addition. At least that's what the movies have taught us.
