How much interest in a Canadian limited edition Ruger No.1?

Could we let's say make a poll to see which version would people be more interested in and start from there... That would end the "conflict" on full stock or the model and maybe put this thread on the right track... anywho thats my 2 cents all i want is for this to work and to have an awesome rifle in the end!

btw full stock is fugly :p

The look of that 300 H & H is what I would like it to resemble. And, by the way, the longer barrel is not to suit the cartridge but to suit tradition and my aging eyes. Short barrels with close spaced sights don't do it for me and I'm out of here if it goes that way.

I've often wondered if there is a practical purpose for the groove in the Alexander Henry fore-end, or if it's purely stylistic.

Again, put me down for a 1-A in .303 British. I'll happily send in my deposit, but one request. Instead of any ugly engraving, just a simple stamp on the barrel with the caliber. "1-A Canadian .303 British"

Does Canadian get anymore Canadian, eh? :D

It really should be a 1-eh Canadian .303 British...

This one has definitely got my interest for sure quite a problem. On the one hand I would love one of these rifles, myself I would prefer the RSI but could easily live with the 1-A, and I like pharaoh2's idea above. Would be nice to see a small maple leaf at the end of the serial # though.

My only problem with throwing $$ down on one is that the old lady and I are looking at buying a house shortly and purchasing one of these might put my testicles dangerously close to the center of her crosshairs.

On the other hand how often does something like this come along?

Definitely a dilemma.....

Ok, I have to say we should find out how much an upgrade to a French greyed reciever would be worth, maybe express style sights too?

Been tossing around the idea of a custom No.1 for a little bit -great minds think alike so they say.

No. 1 RSI .303 British - That would be great - it would solve the chambering issues I have with choosing a No.1 (until the next one ;) ).

I like the idea - when would this happen (if it does)?

If you haven't already picked up my vote (possibly on a different thread)
Count me in..My preference is for a 303Br in the 1S configuration...26", open sights, alex henry forend, whether or not it is stainless laminate, or blue/walnut is irrelevant (blue and an upgrade walnut would be my first choice)

When you start collecting deposits...let me know!!

I am sure that french grey would be at least $400 upgrade, as they would have to send it "out of house". And the cheapest quality express site worth installing are NECG and they are a couple Benjamins installed. Not a good plan.
