Brownell's Updated Registered Factories

So here's the Excel I just got from Brownells. I published in on Google Docs, and will try to keep it update once in a while:

For those who don't order from Brownell's you will NEVER need this list. This list is just what Brownell's can ship up to Canada through their international export process.

This list only applies to parts deemed as "Firearm" or "gun" or "restricted". I'm assuming multitools and ar wrenches will not need, however, YMMV.

Maybe it's the list of the registered manufacturers that Brownell's does business with. I don't know. What do you think?

thats just the list that brownells will allow for #### to send up to us. Of course there are many others who do not go through brownells.

This list is not a list of all approved US manufacturers for export......

This list is all of the manufacturers products that Brownelles can ship north of the border.

Don't get pissy with the OP because he posted this list..... He didn't make it! If your favorite manuf. is not on the list it is their fault for not filling out the proper paperwork with the US state department.... or Brownelles doesn't sell their stuff.

I will say thaks again to the OP for going through the trouble of posting this list.

You use this list when ordering from Brownelles.

If the part you want is made by someone not on the list, you can't have it.... They are not allowed to ship it out of the US.

If the part you want is made by a manufacturer on the list, they are allowed to ship it to Canada.

Nothing is a bigger piss off when you very carefully make a list of parts to order and after you order them you get an email that says 'this product is not available for export' and now you are under your $100 cap & you still are paying shipping.

If you never order gun parts from Brownelles...... You will never need this list.

It is possible that you are right.
There are a lot more companies that are registered with he US authorities
for export purposes than the ones listed in this brownell's list.

Also, some companies in the OP list do not make guns/components,
but only tools, and for tools the US export regulations are different.
So, it would not make sense to
compile them in a list with gun parts manufacturers.

Can you point us to a better list?

Unfortunately, I do not have a "digital" list, only paper (and quite old)
and I think Brownell's would go only after what they were told anyways.

If a desired mfr. is not on Brownells' list, it might be worth calling the mfr, and seeing if they are registered with State. Even if they are not themselves licenced for export, their products would be available through an exporter.

This is just to update all, that one of my orders came thru, and I fully expect the other to as well. for an 86USD order, I payed 15cdn customs at the post office. And that was for an MOE stock, grip, and a 5 pack of washers... Plus the shipping, not so sure if that is exactly a great deal...but...for the experience.

the list applies to restricted controlled parts. you can have an many non-restricted parts ( for instance tools) on the order as you want.
