Dominion Grizzly

How much shorter until it becomes restricted? Collapsable stock OK, Folder too short?

I think the folding stock is too short for the 12.5" and 15" barrel Grizzlies, but you can use it on the 18.5" gun. The collapsible stock is fine, because the overall length on my 15" is about 35" in the shortest position.

How about pistol grips? Can you put the included pistol grip onto the Grizzly 12.5" without it becoming restricted/prohib? I seen to remember hearing something about factory configuration since the pistol grip comes in the box with it, but I can never seem to find a clear answer...

Their is no clear answer to that, best ask the rcmp.

If I remember correctly the FRT disk classes them as restricted if you put a pistol grip on a 12.5"

yeah
when you call in to register your 870 Express or Wingmaster with the new 12.5" barrel (Dlask or Grizzly), they will have two different FRT numbers: one for restricted, and one for non-restricted.

you need to specify that it is the non-restricted one because the OAL of the gun is ~31" (measure). regardless, the people doing the transfers are incompetent as hell - i emphasized at least four times that i was registering a an 870 Wingmaster with a DLASK ARMS 12.5" factory barrel, and that the gun was non-restricted because it was going to be used with a full stock, NOT A PISTOL GRIP. i gave her the exact OAL, then super-politely asked her to confirm all the info i gave her.
the next day i got a phone call from one of their higher ups, asking me:
-what make was the barrel
-what was the OAL
-was i using it with a pistol grip

she said that the person that took the call earlier left no note regarding OAL, pistol grip, manufacturer of the barrel, etc.
im so glad i specifically answered those questions in advance

#%@$ing incompetents.
