Let's see your 25+ yards target!

Had my new Shadow out, and boy this thing can shoot! Had a few shots open up the groups, but at 25m this is the best group I have shot. I cut out some shots from other targets with the paper, not trying to make it look better than it is, there are 10 shots not counting the 4 on the bottom, honest:D! My groups started to open up later though due to the cold.... hard to shoot with gloves!

SOB! You were punching holes into holes. I can only do that at 10yards and not all the time. Shooting is like golf.

Good to see some semi-auto targets posted.

I been to my local indoor range about 15x. So far, I have not seen anyone shooting max range with handgun except for me. Maybe once or twice but they don't do it long enough for me to notice. As for my outdoor range, minimum distance is 22yards (but it's more like 25yards if you ask me). Either get better there or give up. No other choice. :)

Came back from range today. EPIC file. Only thing good I did was nice 1.5" groups at 10yards, but it was all to the right of bullseye.

After firing 2k of cast boolits. I finally noticed 3-5 cast boolits keyholing at 7yards when I was doing some double taps. Dunno why. Perhaps a few bad ones (rounded bottoms!?)... Barrel nice and shiny. DOH!

My .45 fired last month 25 yards one hand bullseye style full ODPL power factor loads. I am not always this good but can get to this level every once in a while - normally shoot an inch or two bigger.

PS this is a std 25 yard slow fire target

Here is a video of me shooting @ 15 yards with my 4.25 SRH first shots are with hot loaded 45 Colt and the next 6 are hot loaded 454 Casull.

Here is the target after I opened up with my G29 10mm and hot 180gr loads, target was at 15 yards and I drew and fired 11 rounds reloaded and fired another 10 rounds as fast as I could.... :D

Every bullet/hole you see in the target was shot as fast as I could draw and shoot.

Stock Norinco 1911a1 45acp. 5 shots standing at 20-25 yards. She shoots a bit high but is extremely reliable and pretty accurate. Can't ask for much more in a $350 pistol

I forgot to mention that I have some Truglo tritium/fiber optic sights on this Glock.

It may be psychological but since I had these sights put on my G17 went from an
ok shooter to a "put-the-green-dot-where-you-want-the-hole" type of deal.

I dry fire practice (with the gun ;) ) every night . My wife thinks I've become totally obsessed. ;)

Some of the folks I shoot with are putting much smaller groupings than mine. (with one hand)
It makes me green with envy.

You guys shoot amazing at 25 yards!

I think I'm having a firing anticipation problem. While dry firing, the muzzle end is rock solid but after firing 100rds or so (maybe less - I don't know for sure). I seem to develop some sort of bad recoil anticipation problem and when I pull the trigger, the muzzle end dips by 1cm or more (I only noticed due to misfire or FTF)! After shooting 200rds of 9mm, i switched to P220 22lr. Had misfire and saw the muzzle dip 1+ cm. That sucks. I can't seem to solve it, even if I'm expecting a misfire. There's something wrong with my brain. LOL!

Likely, the problem develops after firing 75rds of 9mm... I probably get it just firing 22lr too.

I switch between 9mm and .22lr (on the G17 I have a .22lr conversion kit)
actually helps combat the flinching/anticipation that I had initially developed.

Start my sessions shooting the rimfire, switch to centrefire and if things get all
pear shaped flip back to .22lr and reset the brain.

I find I tire easily and after a hundred slowfire shots of centrefire my groups start to loosen up and then I know I'm just wasting ammo.

Gotta work on my stamina.

I fired over 3000rds in under a month. I guess it's going to be a while before I can over come this bad habit. Been shooting 300rds per visit. Casting my own boolits which costs as much as thunderbolt 22lr does that. :) Even though its dirt cheap, I now cut down to 150-200rds b/c it takes lots of time to make cast boolits. At the end when I cannot shoot well anymore, I shoot another 50 rds for pure fun (double tapping and emptying 10rd mag in ~2 seconds). I thought my P220 22lr will become a queen safe, but I think I'll shoot more 22lr b/c it probably takes me 5hrs to make 1000rds of cast bullets from start to finish. Plated probably 1.5 hrs...

My arms don't feel tired after 300rds (weaver stance). But regular triangle stance, gets tiring... At any rate, whatever weakness I am getting on top of losing concentration is messing up my accuracy. I'm hoping to post another 25yard target today but I didn't even bother. Very poor performance at the range today.

targets 20 yd.

I just started pistol shooting. My Glock G34 .22 conversion has about 1500 rounds through it in one month. I shoot about 200-400 per week plus another 100 rounds 9mm as I can afford to shoot it.

I am posting to help get more people into pistol/bullseye. An older man tonight was shooting his pellet pistol beside me while waiting for an ATT for his Ruger Mk III to come in any month now. I let him shoot as much as he wanted from the Glock, all i can say is what a great feeling is was to be able to share this great sport! :D
Anyway, here is my 30 shots at 20 yrds.

I am finally getting to where I can keep five shots on a 5-1/2" square target at 25 yards, with my Wilson Combat Classic using American Eagle 230gr FMJ,from a standing position.

my avatar is a rapidfire target I shot in an 1800 match a couple years ago. it is two strings of five shots in 10 seconds at 20 yds. it is one hand stance shooting my 625 S&W double action. I reload my shells with 200gr SWC I mold myself.

Oh well.. I failed again. I hit 3 1.5" from bullseye at around 22-25yards but I don't know where the other 7 shots went. It's going to be a while before I can better my first target picture (#1).

I also tried 50yards today. 4 out of 10 landed on big target paper (I forgot the dimensions - the orange target Crappy Tire sells). Using P226 9mm with home made cast boolits.

I switched to 22lr for 50yards and hit paper most of the time but scattered like shotgun. :)

here is the HK p30-L 9mm target from last year. I had just got the pistol a couple weeks before that...two fliers. 147gr 9mm

As I had this already on the web I will include it. Not my best target (but far from worst either). Not my most accurate gun either (far from it). The factory target for this gun is below. Someone had asked about the CZ85 Combat so I did a quick test target. This is at 20 yards rather than 25 as that is the limit on our indoor range. The gun had not been sighted in but I was more interested in the group size anyway.
