I'm thinking about picking up a brass catcher or my AR15. Anyone use one? Anyone have comments or suggestions. I thought they were stupid for a long time, but now that I am reloading I am starting to see a use for them.
Thanks

Brownells makes a great one. It attaches with a Velcro strap around the forend and will probably fit most rifles.

the case mouth is half mooned due to the ejection force from the rifle.
[...]also the dual pin system they use is kinda of a pain as they're not really quick release, as you have to tighten them down via 2 lock nuts

Universal fit, but hot brass (hot gun + hot day) will melt the nylon bag - been there and done that. Also a pain to install and remove.
The system from 3bucc would be better, because a) it's a cloth bag, no banging-up your brass and b) it's quick-detach.

Brownells sells them.
use it harder and you'll find the limitations already mentioned. The only reason to get one of these is a) cheap and b) universal fit to a gun without a top rail. Go 3Bucc instead.I have used this one and it works great. No complaints so far.
