So what purchases are on the agenda for 2010? :)

a 375 hh for me .lookin at cz model 550 or a browning medallion 375.
Avoid the Browning A-Bolt in 375 at all cost. They suck. I've owned one and fired another fellow's. Both were sold off quick.

The CZ is a waaaaay better rifle, plus there's lots of 375 Rugers popping up on the EE.

does anyone have a link to this thread? i just spent 20 minutes searching and cant find it for the life of me.

Ask and ye shall receive: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=314471

Yes, I am waiting impatiently for one of the shorty .22's as well. If they shoot straight they will make a great rabbit/grouse/backpacking gun.

As for my purchases this year:

1) Reloading gear for both rifles and pistols
2) A .338WM moose and elk rifle
3) A .357 revolver
4) A couple of shotguns for clays and upland game

Browning A-bolt .300wm is on its way topped with a VXIII 3-10x40mm

Next project is a Stevens 270 also in the mail it will be my "beanfield rifle" its getting the following:
SS McGowen pre-fit heavy sporter fluted barrel chambered in .264wm 1-8twist rate (ordered from mysticplayer)
Timney or Rifle Basix Trigger
Bell & Carlson medalist stock (black w/silver webbing & stainless trigger guard)
130-140gr Accubonds is what I'm thinking of feeding it

Still shopping for a good scope for this one thinking about the Sightron SII BigSky 6.5-20x50mm MD any thoughts?

i completely forgot about these. hmm, if i can get ahold of one of these ill work on it instead of a henry mini bolt - so scratch that off my list.

We think alike, I figured the first order of business would be mounting an aperture sight out back because that sight radius looks pretty inadequate at best. I want a couple, one for me and one for my kids. It should be perfect for them, light and handy and easy to hold up.

As far as gun plans go for 2010

#1) I think I am going to sell my SKS (pictured below)

poormansSOCOMIIpart2.jpg

#2) I am going to purchase something like the savage long range hunter in .300 win mag

I am thinking about selling the Cooper Excalibur, and replacing it with another Jackson Hunter. Then again,I could use a coyote rifle, possibly a 22-250,or maybe a 243.I better not look at the Prophet River site for awhile,I have spent too much already recently.

I'd be happy with my "processing time" for my license to go through in under 30 days, and happy if I get a Glock 17 as my first gun, let alone handgun.

We'll talk possible AR15's later...but they seem really expensive for me to buy since i'm just getting into the hobby/sport/whatever you'd like to call it

Having a 7mm rem mag custom built.I have a 700 action shilen trigger and guillard barrel

Someone is going to post this soon anyway so I may as well get it started...

What if any firearms/component purchases are on the agenda for you 2010?

Myself I have been selling and buying so many rifles this year that the only thing that comes to mind that I still want is and I have been posting on the EE for a long time now that I am looking for 12" or longer s/s T/C Contender barrels.

A 12" barrel will give me an overall length of 26 3/4" and it is legal to hunt with a barrel 12" or longer here in BC.

I was just on the T/C Custom shop web site this morning and see that they have listed a s/s 15" handgun barrel in 45 Colt I have been looking for one of these for a long time so I just need to figure out how to get it here without it costing me to much I want this for my son's first hunting rifle...

For handguns I have my eye on a s/s Ruger New Bearcat in 22LR the barrels are now 4.20" so they can be imported into Canada again, I would get this gun for my young son to learn how to shoot handguns with.

I also have 3 Leupold scopes that I am going to send into Korth Group to get warranty checked and possibly the reticles of 2 of them changed.

That is it I'm sure something of interest will come up during the year though... :D

A Cooper Custom Classic with a Lilja Barrel, Skeleton Butt and Grip Cap and I supplied my own Blank. Going to be in .17 HMR.

And a Custom stock for my Anschutz 1712 .22 LR.

S&W AR15/ 416 upper
Dlask 870
Some gunsmithing, parts, accesories
More ammo
Aimpoint Comp M4/Eotech 553
That's all I have on the list so far.
Edit: Swiss Classic Black
