Im wondering if anybody is carrying 5/20 round Tapco SKS magazines at the moment? Any help would be really appreciated.

just watch out for the gougers, some dude pm'd me with one for sale for $140. They are only about $25 in the US unpinned of course. Not sure all thats required to bring some up but it's not that much i'm sure.

Duckbill are garbage... I will never use them again... But some people say they never have issues....

I just got a Red star fixed 20 round mag instead....
 
Tapco 5 and 20 round Duckbill mags work great in most SKS's and if they don't there is a simple confirmed fix. You change the follower angle by bending the follower spring.

well my SKS hates them.... lol... and trust me I tried everything...

Thats why I went the 20 round fixed route... and since the stripper clips work in the 20 rounder its the best of both worlds...

I have brought some in for friends and sold a few, there is the price of the Mags, Shipping costs, Exchange rate, GST and PST, Gas to go and get them. The time involved in pinning them to 5 rounds before returning to Canada. What do you think a fair price would be for one Mag????

Exactly, too many people thinks its not that big a deal, especially when you get a border guard with a chip on his shoulder that is unsure of the regulations.

Oh my god, you guys act like you we're not going there anyways. I'm pretty sure if you make a trip and it's far your not going just for mags.

If you are it's to buy bulk and sell to make a buck. I know what a rivet costs, i know the mags are 25 US. I just got a PM for them at 60 bucks, seems fair to me. I would pay that much for a 25 dollar mag if me or no one i know is going to the US anytime soon.


$140 on the other hand is ####en retarded, come on.
 
Noone said 140 is fair at all. But I have had people tell me that 30 is fair after all teh extra work. I spent over an hour at the border my last time due to a moronic guard and it was only for the mags, I am not going to lie to bring them back but I even had a copy of the regulation with me. The hassle was so not worth it. $140 for a pair shipped with insurance would be going rate.

I Agree, people who want them for 30 are clueless. People who sell for 140 for 1 are clueless.

$50-60 for 1 is okay. If someone won't pay $20 for saving the trouble of doing the work, bringing them in their in the wrong hobby.

Thats all i have to say about that. Now who wants to sell me a mag for 35 bucks? hahahahahaha
 
Ok I will toss in shipping..............:p

I know some don't like the tapco's but I really do and when sighting in it sure is nice having 4 loaded clips beside. Also I like to do from the hip at 25 yards with a quick reload and hit it again standing and kneeling. Ya stripper clips are ok but I really like the magazine option.

Another thing I have to take into consideration is the money the god dam wife is spending at Walmart while I am in the back of the parking lot pinning Mags.....LOL
