The TAVOR

"Use of the tavor" - so does that mean a tactics course (CQB, etc.) or more of an armourers / how to tinker with course...

Either way, put me down for interest in the IWI course - like everyone else I would need to first know the location and cost before making a firm decision.

...and way to go Canada Ammo, good work!

Also, I posted this question in the "December shipment" thread, but I think everyone over there is too busy posting "is it here yet, is it here yet" to notice anything else - so:

Does anyone know what size of threading is on the muzzle of the tavor - for the flash hider?
Same as AR

For the course it wouldnot be the armourers course. Frankly, it could be whatever the students want. Location, etc would also be set by consensus. If there are more interested in the East, we will hold it there, etc.

Someone should start a new thread for this topic. Maybe they could include a poll for what cities you would be able to make it to for the course. I am assuming the only three choices are going to be the Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver areas?

Maybe they would be willing to tour all three cities? If the course was just for tavor owners there probably would not be enough interest to make it cost effective, but maybe there would be enough interest if it was open to AR owners too.

In for sure if it's in Alberta, probably if it's in BC, maybe if it's east of Sask. Although if Westjet's seat sales can be hit just right anywhere would be doable fairly inexpensively.

You guys could easily arrange for one of the freshly discharged Givati brigade non-coms to come over to Canada to teach what they teach recruits in the basic and advanced training. Would cost next to nothing for a group of people, and they would teach what is actually been used in the field and not some sort of office/paperwork manufacturer presentation routine.

Who do you think would come to teach that IWI course? Correct, the best friend of the guy the CanAm talks too. Regardless of their knowledge of the Tavor and actual combat experience. That's how things are done in Israel. Connections and protection.

Awesome idea. Saves me the trouble of arranging it all.

I suspect I ALSO know a thing or two about how things are done in Israel. I suggest you check if Givati members - non-combats or otherwise - are allowed to train outside of IDF, never mind to train a foreign contingent outside of Israel. My 2c.

Sure they can and they do. As private consultants. Check out who trains Georgians these days. Starting from the Girsh outfit and down to single guys offering their knowledge and experience for the right price.

Finally got to cuddle with my tavor after receiving it back in march and being out of the country. This thing is so sweet, cannot thank Canam enough for allowing us to get our hands on them!

First thing I noticed was how short it is, I dont know how many pictures I stared at over the past 6 months but nothing compared for me the awesomeness of when I first picked it up. Next stop, the range!

Thanks again Canam
