How much interest in a Canadian limited edition Ruger No.1?

The rib on the gun would look better 'smoother' on top and sights also. But as is it is very nice. Lets get Ruger to duplicate that for 1500:eek:

In .270, stainless, not sights, I'm interested.

In .303 i'm not.

Then you want catalogue # K1-B-BBZ, model # 11305. That's the No.1 Standard in .270Winchester. No sights, 26" barrel, stainless steel in a brushed finish. The stock will be black laminate.

This thread is about all of us particularly wanting .303 British in a Ruger No.1 and them doing a small batch of production for us. Thanks for taking enough interest to stop by to tell us you aren't interested.

Sorry, I only skimmed through the first 4-5 pages of this thread, seemed like it was quite open to suggestions and interest in configurations and cartridges. Had no idea ya'll got all ####### about it in the next....45 pages.

Yes, K1-B-BBZ, model # 11305 is exactly what I want, but hey good luck selling your .303s!

but of course your right, nobody would want one in .303... 54 pages and counting

5 years from now, If this gun gets made, it will be sellable on the EE in 15 min. for a 50% premium over new. Your .270 will just be another .270...

Here's a hard concept for you two: sometime people don't actually SELL guns! Yes it's true, they KEEP them!

Here's a handy guideline for you. When a thread is longer than 4-5 pages, if you skim the first 4-5 pages and then post a comment, you have about a 99% chance of saying something that has already been said or, given the context that you haven't bothered to discover, makes you sound stupid or a jerk.

And selling our .303s?! Selling isn't the point. We still don't know if we can buy them. I hope your .270 turns out a good one.

page 53 still debate over sights/not sights
page 52, still question about markings, wood, one guy wants international...
pg 51 Lipseys? Grooved stock?
pg 50 international or 26" barrel
pg 49 need a poll, post 488, several models wanted...

I sound stupid or like a jerk?
STFU Newb?
Stay off the thread?

I wasn't trying to stir up your thread, I just have always wanted a Ruger #1 and this seemed like a good opportunity to get a unique rifle with maybe some cool wood, patriotic ra, ra, ra, or engraving, but I have no interest in a .303. Thought I'd offer an easy sale and help ya'll out. All I've ever had was .270s, I still have every one I've owned, that's all I'm going to own... primarily. If its not an option, its no big deal to me you can just say it isn't. I can buy my own gun, and like everything I own, customize it to my liking. At least mine will be a reality.

Again, I'm not here to stir up your thread, so good luck with sales.

Thanks. As you now know, you can already get a .270 pretty much as you like it. And then you can have it customised. And you also now know, if you jump into a long thread having only read the first few posts, you will probably say something that has already been said, or sound stupid or a jerk, even if you aren't actually stupid or a jerk. And suspecting you aren't, actually, I took the trouble to look up your .270 for you, and I wish you well with it.

I spoke with my lipseys rep today. They have notified Ruger that they want to build this and have scheduled a meeting at SHOT about a week from today. Looks like, between our 'orders' and what they will keep, we may run the serials from C303-0001 to C303-0303.
That would be very cool? :)
Anyway, keep your fingers crossed and , if at shot, be sure to stop by Rugers booth and push them a little.

That is good news. This may be a logistical nightmare, but is there any possibility of reserving a serial number? No, I am not looking for #1

Great news indeed!
If this comes to be, I am definately in!

Yes, if this happens, i will take requests at the time of deposit. I've had several people that booked three or four ask for consecutive serials.
