Ordered one from Marstar just before Christmas for my wife's birthday...it is a beaut! The stock is definitely not the chu wood that they use for the M14. It is some kind of fine grain hardwood with a very nice laquer finish. I cleaned the grease off and couldn't resist putting a mag through it. It was dark out and I can't tell you what the grouping was, but it has a tight, strong action. Not typical Norcino metal either, the reciever, barrel, and other metal parts are very well finished.
I should have bought two. Anyone considering a bolt action plinker for the wife or kids or yourself, I highly recommend it. After handling it you'd guess it cost $300 (Johnone, that was not a hint). I really need to set up a photo account, but anyone who wants pics can email me.
Any sling recommendations for this? I'm thinking a nice black or brown leather...
