Why did you buy SKS rifle?

Same reason as alot of others. I like old historic arms that will not break the bank after a day at the range punching holes in paper. I just ordered my second, a laminate stocker. Then maybe someday a yugo.

Newmer

Been a while since I was at my gun dealer and he mentioned i had to buy something. Saw the SKS sitting in the crate and had to have it!

I have owned a mini thirty for over 10 years and always thought the SKS was one of the ugliest guns around. After fondling it for 30 seconds at the gun shop I fell in love. That was about 8 hours ago and i can't stop touching it. Wife said i'll be sleeping on the couch tonight if I don't stop. Fine by me :D

One of my first purchases ever. I stumbled upon all the vids on youtube and then fell in love with it... When I learned of its price and the price of surplus ammo I bought a rusky same day... I still love it as my favorite shooter, I have a feeling I always will...

Thank you. Colt

Same reasons as all of the above. Reliable, easy to take care of, cheap to shoot, durable, customizable; tho with the refinished laminate stock on mine, I'm going to keep it pretty clean and use it for marching up and down the street in front of my house in case the Yankees attack. :p

Just a good all 'round shooter.

Cheep gun, cheep ammo
and a lot of fun

I bought mine to avoid vaporization if the thought police were ever to knock on my door.

Really though I wanted a springfield armory m-14 in urban camo but could not afford it so I made a clone.

Nice stock. Your custom job or is it commercial stock?

I bought it/them becasue the price was good, they have a known history of reliability, easy to maintain, ammo is inexpensive, and the aftermarket support is great. I have a couple in the mail and a couple pics of the others. I have 2 chinese, an SKS-D, and 2 russians.
