I reload 7.62x54 and it makes me wince when I see what the SVT does to the brass. Aside from adjusting the gas system, has anyone else found a way to keep the brass shredding to a minimum?
My SVT is not terribly hard on brass, no big dings, dents or such. The lines in the neck from the fluting have caused me no problems for reloading, as they are extremely shallow. I use medium speed powders (IMR4895, IMR4064) and 150 grain bullets.
What kind of bullet you use? with cannelure? .308 or .311? How's accuracy?
Thx
